Amazing the people you see in Walmart!

So....we're doing our grocery shopping @Walmart this AM.
My kids point out that an older gentleman wearing an Arkansas Razorback shirt. (we're originally from Arkansas)--and it's not often that we see someone in Razorback gear. So, I politely ask him if he's from Arkansas. He replies that his sons work in Arkansas @ the Univ. I say, "Oh? what do they do there?" His response: Oh, they are coaches. Bobby and Pete Petrino. We make a little small talk and move on.
Then it hits me---I just met Bobby Petrino's daddy! He lives here. I just met the father of the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks!!!
Made my day, I tell you.

(for those who don't know---I am a HUGE Razorback fan, HUGE!)

My son lives in San Antonio. His wife saw one of the ladies from "Desperate Housewifes" Eva Longoria in Walmart. She lives in the area.

That was exciting for a Razorback fan! I've never seen anybody famous in a Walmart.

The best I ever got was Julia Child who ran over my new cowboy boots with a heavy piece of rolling luggage back in the '90's at an airport. I was ready to scream it hurt so much and then I heard that odd cackle that she had and I looked up. She didn't even know she was in the airport-clearly she was losing it back then. She didn't realize she had run over my foot. No excitement in my NJ Walmart!
