Abel's Here
Hey Guys!

Just wanted to share that our son Abel Archer was born on Thursday at about 1:34pm. He looks just like Abby, and she's so excited about that. He was about 3 weeks early and came in at 8lbs 13oz. He's having some issues with keeping his blood sugar up, and he's a little jaundiced but we're hoping those things work themselves out here in the next couple of days. I'm being released tomorrow, and he's going to have to stay here until these issues are resolved. If you get the chance, we'd appreciate any prayers you could say on his behalf for his health. We're so ready to take him home now..

I was going to post a picture of Abel, but I can't figure out how to. I'm going to have dh look at it when he comes to visit tonight.

That is big. Both of mine were about 3-4 weeks early and they were 7lbs 1oz and 7lbs 4oz. They were considered big at that stage.

Just imagine if Abel had been full term!

I was just thinking about you and your new baby, the other day. I remembered you said you were due in August.

Big "little guy", LOL.... Mine was 8 days late, and was 8lb. 6oz.

Congrats on your baby son. My 21 yo was 3 weeks early ( fell in a bathtub ) and she came in weighing 9 lbs 4 0z !

There's not any sweeter smell than a newborn baby.

Thanks for all the wonderful wishes. Abel's sugar levels and his jaundice worked themselves out and he's home with us now. The prayers worked!! Yeah!!

Still working on that picture though..
