Where do you color your hair?

Crazy dilemma! I used to color my own hair at home... used the upstairs bath and... since it was an old bath with an old floor and tub... it really didn't matter if I accidentally dripped the dye. We just got a new bath with a ceramic tile floor and a white acrylic bathtub. Can you even rinse the dye in the shower in an acrylic bathtub?

I colored my hair at home once, and I plan on doing it again in the net month or two. I had no problems with staining on anything, skin, clothes, bathtub. I used the semi perm with no ammonia kind. Not sure if that makes a difference??

Thanks so much! I really didn't want to create a mess I couldn't deal with.

I'd toss an old towel or two down on the floor to prevent any getting on the grout.

I stand in the shower I use Perfect 10 so it only takes 10 minutes not too long. It's no problem removing the color spots from the tub and shower walls.

annadrose - after your reccommendation on the other thread I tried the Perfect 10. It worked like a charm! I rinsed it off in the shower, no problem at all. Thanks!

I found the Perfect 10 didn't last as long as regular dye products such as Preference. I thought it faded out within just a couple of weeks. No one else has had that problem? I didn't think it covered grays as well either.

Dealdancer, you could buy a $1.00 plastic shower curtain liner at the Dollar Store and cover your floor with that. You'd be able to reuse it forever too.

Funny it covers my gray better and it lasts longer. I don't use the conditioner that comes with it seems to wash the color out I use Matrix Amplify for colored hair.

Maybe I'll give again it a try when it goes on sale. I liked the 10 minute part of it. I won't use the conditioner and see what happens.

Maybe I was outside too much in the sun before when I tried it. I know the sun can fade hair color out too.

Thanks!

I use the Loreal Feria, and of course it fades too fast. Greys everywhere!! But it lasts at least 4 - 5 weeks.
