My husband bought me a small sharp hd tv for the bedroom at Christmas. Yay! I had so many new stations like 7.1( channel 7 broadcast in HD). It was great! Until the conversion took place. I then lost the signal for all the HD channels. Now my daughter has a samsung hd tv that we bought for her dorm room that she used in her bedroom over the summer. After the conversion, she rescanned her tv and she still has all those hd stations, ie 7.1 etc. We rescanned mine and nope- still don't have those HD stations. any help before I call sharp or stop by best buy and ask.......

Okay. I called Sharp and they said to bring it into a authorized dealer. My husband ran it over to one and they said they reprogrammed it. brought it home and we still don't get the digital stations on it, the guy said the signal is too weak in my bedroom and that Comcast has to send a stronger signal. what???? Then we took my daughter's tv and connect it in my room and hers lost the digital stations, also. (but she gets the digital stations in her room across the hall). Does anyone understand what we have to do to get a better signal if that is the problem for all of this? any cable installers or comcast people on these boards know what's happening?

Are you connected to Cable Vision? If you are ,it sounds like to me that you might need to replace the Coaxial cable.Possibly Comcast can come to the house and replace the connector on the cable or the entire cable.

Thank you! after all the running around and getting the run around, we swapped out the coaxial cable with another one and voila! I now have my hd digital stations back.
