Read, try a new recipe, quilt, do something with DH, DS or a friend, eat, watch tv, read some more (I have read 8 adult books in the last 8 days -- a new record but I'm stressed) Gardening, go for a walk in the woods or by the lake, go to a movie, rent a movie, volunteer at a cat shelter, bake cookies, bake a different bread, shopping, play on the internet, clean, organize, learn about something new I rarely get bored.

I plan fantasy vacations on orbitz.com, I daydream for a bit, it helps me get my head back into my real, plain life.

I try to do something new. Try a new recipe, rent a movie or TV show that I wouldn't ordinarily watch, try a new craft, visit a museum I've never been to before, read a book outside my usual suspects, or take a walk through the downtown area of a town I've never spent any time in before or take a walk in a conservation area I've never been in before. I think it helps to shake things up even if it's just a little bit.

I go and jump into the pool! That usually wakes me up and refreshes me and then I find I have the energy (or is it gumption?) to find something to do.
