Where did everybody go? I know that there are alot less posts than there used to be. You would never have several days of postings on page one in the past. It's the same way on the coupon trading section, I can remember when your post would be gone to the second page within a matter of hours, now there are more than one days postings on the first page. Anyway, just wondering if everyone has found a new place to go? on vacation? just busy? what's going on?

Honestly, for me, it was all the fighting that was going on. It all became so pointless and dull. I used to check here several times a day. Now it is a couple of times a week.

Funny you posted that. I had just told DH how sad I was tht it looked like this site was dying and wondering where everyone had gone. There are some people I really miss. I guess the deals are harder to come by now too.

I've gone back to work and I don't have the time I use to spend on the board. I check in every so often. I miss my days here, but my children like to eat.LOL!!

I think it slows down at this time every year. It'll pick back up when the BF deals start up and be much more active all through Christmas and post Christmas sales.

I have been running around like a chicken with my head chopped off getting ready for settlement on our new home this wednesday @ 9:30 am. Getting all the utilities hooked up and buying things we need for the house etc. Plus there is Mom who I am caring for now and her appointments and my twice weekly allergy shots so not much time to be online here. I am also taking online classes and at work and somehow I seem to think I am fitting home-schooling into the schedule for Peanut.

As for myself, I'm not dedicating a lot of time to this forum. There are lots of things I'm trying go accomplish and the computer was sucking my time away. Also, the constant bickering was getting very old. It almost seemed "staged".

I check in every so often, but, not a lot.

Doing the right thing isn't always the same as doing the easy thing.

During the summer these boards always slow down. In the fall and winter when people are stuck inside you will see the post counts start to go back up.

I honestly don't think it is the fighting. People have been fighting on these boards long before the cafe and will continue to do so whether we are around or not. It maybe some old timers and it maybe newbies but no matter there will always be the catiness and also the good conversation it is what you get when you have a board full of females.

I agree with what Freer said...damned if you do, damned if you don't. I used to try to think of interesting topics to start a thread about, but if someone didn't like me, they would just jump on me no matter what the post was about...simply because they didn't like me. I thought it was ridiculous. If I didn't like someone, I just wouldn't post in their thread probably. Why give them the time of day? I don't think I would disagree with them just for the sake of doing it because they weren't my favorite poster. Ultimately, why bother wasting your time? There are so many things to do in "real life" that require your time and energy. I still like to post, but I find more deals on other boards that I belong to. ~Lisa

There used to be real posters and they didn't need to create all the controversy themselves but they lost a lot of loyal members with that Clover War thing and then lost even more when they developed particular personnas with outrageous quirks that never shut up. Those 'posters' originally upped the views and responses but that was because people were unhappy. When characters are based on being non-stop irritatingly stupid, people get tired of it and go to other boards instead.

It IS staged now and always has been, to a degree. Problem now, is that whoever's doing the staging really stinks at it. It's so 'in your face' obvious what they're doing that it's insulting and even worse, it's boring. MC needs a new choreographer because the one they have now is incompetent.

What other boards? Would like to visit and check them out too.

Caddylisa, I wish you would point me to those other boards, the owner of one of my "bargains" boards died and the site is now closed.

If I posted them on here, the MC powers that be would probably remove them because they would consider them competitor sites. At least I think that's one of the rules...maybe not. I'll PM you privately and send you a whole list. ~Lisa

Lisa, I would like the list pm'ed to me as well. I check the Cafe every week or two. I have seldom posted due to the bullies. I have no desire to participate in such activities. I have watched this site deteriorate over the years and need some direction to new sites.

I only check in periodically these days. While bickering has always been on this board, in the past months, it has really gotten childish and nasty. I'm not interested in that type of discourse.

Been too busy to post lately.... but I have been stopping by looking for freebies and deals.

someone on here turned me on to POGO and its addicting. I get to play games with my sister who is 1500 miles away. I want to thank that person and tell you to join it if you want some fun for a change. miss alot of people here. check in once in awhile. By the way Pogo doesnt care about my spelling or puncuation.

Real life called. That is the only reason that I havent been around as much. I went to school, got a full time job and then the boys went about growing up.

Also, I dont get the point of the bickering. I have been on the internet for 14 years and I have yet to see a fight end where one party says.. "wow, you have totally changed my mind and you are right". LOL

Hey Lisa pm also with the other boards. As for myself right now I am taking just a few moments to post I am on Vacation was in Sanibel and Captiva now we are in Orlando, then back to Naples. Soon Summer will be over and back to work. I also noticed alot of ladies are not here. I cannot speak nor will I speak for anyone, just to say for me personally there are certain subjects or posts I will never ever enter into anymore, its so much more peaceful now and honestly for me personally does me better.
