Is Anyone a Member of Second Life?

When it first originated, I joined and quit a day later. Frankly, it scared me. I just recently joined again and was pleasantly surprised to see how much it offers now in the way of educational resources. Beware... I think it's mildly addictive.

Have no idea what you are talking about. But I am curious what changed... the organization or your perception of it? Of course perception is not reality...but perception is subject to change based on the human mood/hormone changes

I belong to Second Life! My boyfriend and I even have a RL business on there. We own 5 sims and rent them out. It's fun and hard work at times.

suezz... Go to You Tube and enter Second Life or just Google it. It will blow you away!

suziecat... You and your boyfriend are courageous! Good for you! I've been visiting universities and museums. There's SO much to do now. The graphics are so beautiful!

I agree! It is addicting
I've recently deleted it on my computer. I used to visit RL places in my city or state in the game. It was so realistic.

What has recently become addicting to me is building things and selling them. It's amazing I have no artistic bone in my rl or sl body and people still buy my stuff!

I tried it, but was totally confused. Maybe I need to go back and give it another shot? What is the whole point of it, just to live out a fantasy life? LOL How can playing this game, (This IS a game, right?) how can playing benefit me?

It is much more than a game at this point in time. Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Vassar, University of Delaware, and countless other universities have campuses there. There are museums, and monuments. There is even a virtual Vietnam Veterans Wall. It has developed SO much in just a few years!
