Time flies doesn't it? Mine are 15 and almost 13 now!

I remember when my oldest started kindergarten, I couldn't believe how big those 5th graders were and how old they looked with their little boobs & hips!

Then when my baby left elementary school, I was shocked at how tiny those kindergarteners were!

My son put a helium balloon in the hamper on his first day of school. He scared the H out of me. He was so considerate to think of me.

They grow up entirely too fast.

*sigh* my oldest starts middle school. I'm a little stressed and depressed---they are growing up way to fast (the other one will be in 4th)

Just wait until they are leaving for college as my oldest is soon...it's rough having the first one leave the nest. Tonight we were watching videos from when they were toddlers. They were so sweet. I felt bad because watching them made me feel a little bit down. I feel terrible that I felt that way. Time just flew by. I look back and wish I had enjoyed it more. I wish I had savored every moment. By looking at the tapes, I feel that I was a good Mom, but I think I could have done this or that better. I guess I'm just being hard on myself. It's easy to say would've, could've, should've. I really don't have many regrets...it's just that the time went so fast. Sometimes I just want to shink them back...but you can't. I just have to look at it as more time to myself...and be glad that my kids are going on to new adventures in college. They have to grow up sometime...part of our job is giving them wings to fly. It's just so hard though. ~Lisa

I can't imagine what it would be like to have one or both of my girls go off to college.

btw Fafard was a cat I had years ago when I first signed up probably before I had either of my kids.
