I'm a bare footed person. If I must wear shoes, it's usually flip-flops. In the dead middle of winter, I'll wear flip-flops or no shoes, even in snow. I hate shoes and socks.

Well I wear heels every day but no hose! These days only old ladies and drag queens wear "hose" or nylons or whatever you want to call them.

Flip flops or flat sandals in the summer...A black boot with a bit of a heel in colder weather... ~Lisa

I wish you had an All of the above option. I love shoes...heels, flats, boots, flip flops, mules, if it is foot wear I probably love it....i love shoes. I also love to be barefoot.

It seems to be part of the new "I do what I want when I want " generation. No hose, wearing tank tops, showing bra straps, tattoos across the lower back - all they have to do is yawn and it's visible, etc. Professional dress has been redefined and it's not always pretty.

During the summer, I will go w/o hose or nylons.
During the winter, I'd freeze my A$$ off if I didn't wear hose, tights, or some sort of leg coverings. We often have not only below freezing, but negative temperatures!

Thus, I will wear stockings, hose or tights w/ my boots and a dress.--Occasionally, I will wear them under pants as well.

Frankly, I find the right kind of stocking/hose to be quiet sexy (and a lot of men do as well!)

I love shoes.
I won't wear cheap shoes. And they have to be comfortable. They are the one thing I won't skimp on at all.
This summer I have lived in my NAOT sandals. The style is Petal. I LOVE them!
In the winter I wear my Merrel or Born shoes the hubby bought me when it snowed.
Of course I have two pairs of high top Chucks that I love too!

I will never ever be caught dead or alive in Crocs.

I wear tights in the winter too. I need to re evaluate the way I word things. I meant no offense to anyone.

Yes Marilyn men do finds stockings sexy and in the winter you do need leg coverings.

Stockings and pantyhose are out of style and I have always found them to be quite uncomfortable so I for one am happy to not have to wear them anymore.

Oh, I don't "enjoy" wearing them all the time--however, it is a necessary "evil" at times.

Wow, I don't know where you live, but I've lived in the north, west, east and south, and I've NEVER seen them go out of style! Change in styles, maybe, but never out. I work in a hospital and I see many YOUNG ladies wear nylons as well as older women not wearing any.

I wear them if my attire calls for it.

I prefer sneaks and jeans or sneaks and sweat, but it does depend on the occasion and where I am.

I LOVE Doc Marten's. I will snap up just about any pair that I find in a thrift store that is my size. They're so comfortable but too expensive to buy new. But finding a pair for less than $10 makes my day.

I'm comfy shoes all the way.

Just chiming in to back annadrose up on her assessment of the current trend towards skipping all forms of hosiery. Of course, cold climates call for different things, but over the past few years it has become perfectly acceptable for women of all ages and sizes to skip the nylons/pantyhose and show a bare leg. I used to manage a conservative women's dress shop, and in the 90s we HAD to wear hose- even with open toed shoes (Yuck!) Over the last few years the trend has been solidly against hosiery!

I couldn't tell you the last time I wore hose- it's probably been almost 5 years.

On topic- I'm most comfortable in my new balance tennis shoes, but they're pretty ugly. I usually wear a pair of Aerosoles heels.

I wear my Dansko clogs year-round. Before that I was a tennis show wearer but the clogs are much more comfy. During the summer, I wear Born sandals.

I wear heels with dresses which happens maybe once every year or so. I have to wear hose. I get horrible blisters and foot pain if I don't. I don't mind heels but it seems I am the only one not wearing hose so it feels weird to be *looked at* like "why are you wearing hose?". I don't know how anyone wears heels without hose or tights. Ever since that Disclosure movie with Demi Moore not wearing hose in the office, women have stopped wearing hose. I know where I used to work (now self employed), you HAD to wear hose. If you work in an office, it's more professional IMO but hey, to each his (or her) own

I always wore heels...always....until recently. Being pregnant isn't heel friendly.

Love my Trekkers from Lands End - great hiking, walking shoe. I have a pumpkin orange color that I love. So comfy and cute! In the winter, I wear my running shoes or snow boots. I NEVER match anything with my outfit - my orange Dooney purse and my orange shoes are just me.

Flip flops are so bad for your feet but I know they are so cute!

I guess I'm an old lady, then, because I'm confident I'm not a drag queen . . . in my field, women wear hose and heels if they want to be taken seriously! I think it's just wrong to say that pantyhose is out of style . . . .wearing closed heels without hose doesn't look good at all to me and definitely isn't the norm among the business women I know. At home, I prefer barefoot as much as possible.

Wink

Well I picked sandles and flipflops to me they are the most comfortable at home barefoot all the way no shoes worn in the house. I do dearly love to wear heels however my feet have another feeling, I can only wear a small heel for awhile my toes hurt. I hate hate hate pantyhose or shockings too restricting for me, however I do agree with a beautiful short dress or skirt and heels its is sexy more so with black nylons.... it is very professional looking I personally cannot imagine wearing high heel shoes and nothing else sticky feet with no air to breathe. Peace. Catherine
