| Meet the Crane Family
I absolutely love these birds. They're sandhill cranes and, while we see them from time to time, it's not a daily or even weekly event. Dad was the biggest of the group measuring in around 4 feet tall. He kept a close eye on me while Mrs. Crane and the kids walked around.  Here he is with one of the juveniles.  At one point he even started to approach me. That was very cool. I guess he finally found me boring though. I think he's yawning in this photo.   After about 20 minutes I left the family alone to enjoy their day.   They really are the most awesome birds!

You take beautiful pictures! These birds are beautiful. I wish we had them near us. Have you ever thought of taking pictures professionally? I bet there would be some magazine that would love your pictures. Judy |

We have a set of four that are always roaming around the neighborhood at Mom's they will come close to you. I never knew they were Crane's but now I know...if only I could figure out what bird it is that keeps waking me up I would be happy can hear it but never have seen it. As always beautiful Photos,
