Lots of people are in my boat. We have no idea where are loans are going and fearing for dings on credit for missing payments. I have learned that B of A is most likely taking the mortgages (per the hud website) but our records aren't in their system yet. They said don't make a payment until we get paperwork as to where to send it and what our new loan number is which could take 3 weeks. It's been 2 weeks since they(TBW) were shut down and we haven't received anything.
This stinks I hate not knowing what to do or where to even attempt to send payment. Hud says send to B of A and B of A says don't send. Fed gov. and state gov. are conflicting in what they say. Florida (where TBW are at) says to keep sending payments to TBW. Uh, they were supposed to withdrawl my payment and I don't feel comfy sending a check not knowing when (or if) it will be cashed AND the withdrawl could happen at any time. A double dip will sink my checking account.
Anyone else out there in limbo with me? |
I sent you a PM about this. A video link. Let me knwo if you can't open it. The article taht went with it said Bank of America is taking over, and to send payments to them.
"If you’re in the same predicament, this problem does have a solution. According to the Federal Housing Administration, the answer lies in your mailbox. They suggest you send your checks at the same time you normally do.
But, this canned response, doesn’t calm fears.
“Is it just going to be one mortgage company after the next, after the next or are they going to be stable?” said Heyn.
In this case, the payment address will eventually change to Bank of America. They’ve taken over the lender’s service.
“I’m going to go ahead and send them a check then, and see what happens.”
Heyn should soon receive a letter in the mail, from Bank of America, with more information. For now, it’s a waiting game."
I would call Bank of America.
