what is your every day plate design ?

I have 2 ..one is Fiesta.. red and yellow plates. Orange bowls.. Plus a green pitcher...Love them !

Also, I have a set of Pfaltzgraff ..I think the design is " Summer Breeze"..I've had it for a few years..Love the bowl sizes but the plates are way super big and show utensil marks.

just the basic correlle ware for everyday, white with a greyish pattern around the edge. I like it because I can bang it and clang it around and it never breaks. I like to swap out pretty and fun placemats regularly to add color to the table.

We don't have a pattern. I try to pick up cool plates at thrift shops and yard sales so we have an eclectic bunch of interesting tableware.

Corelle - Crazy Daisy pattern (aka : Spring Blossom Green)

It is a white plate with little green daisies printed around the outer edge. I love the pattern!

I also have extra mishmash Corelle that I have picked up at yard sales - it all fits together perfectly into the cupboard because it is all so thin.

And yes - you can bump and bang it all you want and the risk of breakage (or shatter) is slim. I am not the most graceful person, and I don't need to worry about chipping the corners of the Corelle.

We have cream colored plates with kind of a Tuscan design. They are pretty, but do chip easily. I got them as part of my wedding registry 3 years ago, so it is about time to change. I'm thinking I might go with Fiesta. My mom has it and I do love how sturdy they are, as well as the bright colors.

'Sigh' I am so boring.
I also have the Corelle and it is the winter white. And I also get fill ins at yard sales and thrift shops. I stick with it because I am a clod and seem to break nice dishes. But like a previous poster I have several different cloth placemats that I use to liven up the table.
So our cupboards are filled with Corelle, pint beer glasses and heavy crockery mugs. Very hardy dish and drinkware.
Oh and I have to have a thermal coffee carafe also.
Yeah, I'm really a klutz.

Can't remember the brand of mine, we got them as wedding gifts 12 years ago. But the pattern is called Log Cabin.....fitting since we live in one! It's very southwestern like tho, in the colors and design.

I also have Corelle. It has blue flowers around it. I think it is something like Old Town Blue. I started getting it about 36 year ago when I was 16 and the lady I babysat for would give it to me for Christmas for my hope chest. I have used it for the last 26 years, since I got married. I would really, really like to buy one of the new pretty patterns but mine just will not break. lol

I am another Correlle owner.
Mine are white with green and white checks, apples and other fruit around the edges. I have an apple themed kitchen and dining area. I also have plain red dishes and some dinnerplates with a large apple in the center that don't get used as much as the Correlle. I have a lot of plain red serving dishes and bakeware.

Me, too. I used to have the Yorktowne Pfaltzgraf and replaced it with the Orleans Pfaltzgraf and replaced Orleans with the Corelle because I got so sick and tired of the awful utensil marks on the Orleans. Looked awful. I love the Corelle.

Another one with Corelle...mygarden pattern. I think that it's been discontinued so that tells you how old these dishes are. I really like the square shaped plates that are popular now. I also have a set of Pfaltzgraff...not the complete set, but a good amount of it in the French Quarter mint green/peach pattern...also discontinued. This thread makes me realize that I probably could use some new dishes! ~Lisa

I use Noritake Java Graphite Dinnerware for everyday, and sometimes I mix it with a hammered black set that I have...very funky and cool.

Another Corelle person here. Mine was a wedding present....Shadow Iris. I like it since it has purple in it! If it's not that I have cheap plastic ones we got at Target for 90% off. Works for me since DH decides to leave them laying around (hiding actually) and if I need to throw it away I don't mind.

It seems as though the Corelle ware is the most popular among this group.
I, too, have Corelle, but I'm sure my pattern has been discontinued also, as I never see it in the stores anymore.
Mine is the white plates with the country blue hearts. I have three sets in the cupboard and an extra, unopened set in the closet. I also have many accessory pieces with the same design.

I think everyone has some of those green daisy Corelle plates somewhere. I'm a rebel, though, I have Corelle with little blue flowers.

I also have some Pfaltzgraff La Rochelle stuff (super cheap a few years ago), but we got rid of the nicely-sized luncheon plates after they chipped, cracked, and started getting really hot in the microwave. The bowls from the same set are still nice for cereal, and the plates look okay, but they're so bulky we don't use them too often. I love how thin the Corelle stuff is; it stores so well.

I love my Corelle. And as for the extra mishmash, I always send stuff home with people on Thanksgiving on the extras. For only $.10 - $.25 each at a yard sale, who can resist?? Besides, they are a lot sturdier than sending home paper plates full of goodies to people, plus they can use them again and again!

My mom uses Butterfly Gold Corelle. That is also an oldie!

I was just wondering if so many of us have Corelle because our Mom's had it ...I remember my Mom had some of it with those funky olive green and gold shades from back in the 70's... ~Lisa

Been hankering for new everyday dinnerware actually.....looking for something in blues/gold/orange.

I am currently using Pfaltzgraff Wyngate Floral (retired) and I have a huge collection of Pfaltzgraff Fok Art (retired) in the attic

Part of my mishmash is some original Fiestaware from the 50s or 60s. It was my Moms.

I bet I'm not the only one using a Gibson set that's kinda plain ivory with a raised fruit design...thanks to someone on this board I bought a few sets at 90% off for $3 at Target, that was probably almost 10 years ago, it was an 8 place setting with some extra serving dishes.

And I used to have a coworker who claimed to throw her Corelle dishes onto the kitchen floor or against the wall (at home, not at work lol) when she'd lose her temper, she said she only did it with Corelle because they wouldn't break!!

I remember those sets -- I looked and looked but wasn't lucky enough to find one. That was a great deal!

Light green with a basketweave design around the edge. Cheap stuff from Dollar Tree. I've had it for years and never broke or chipped any. I got tired of my Corelle ware (old gold butterflies).

Corelle with a geometric print. I was looking for a modern look and I hate flowered dishes. I had a mix of 3 sets or so and my daughter talked me into getting rid of it all and getting a nice matching set.

I want to eventually get rid of them and get either red fiesta dishes or dishes with a gingerbread men pattern because my kitchen has a gingerbread men theme with lots of red.

I have Corelle with the hearts around the plate my Mom bought me the set years ago I think I only have three left and all the small ones and one platter but can't bear to get rid of them! I also have a set of plates with circles around the rims and my winter plates with a snowman scene on the plates, dessert plates and bowls.
I love the new Corelle patterns and I want to get a set of the square ones. There are so many choices I want to think about it for a while.

I also hate flowered dishes and my MIL just gave me a set of old lady china with flowers on it thank goodness my husband said it's too old lady for him so I'm putting it on craigslist.

Gave away my Pfaltzgraff that I had since I got married, for lighter, microwaveable Corelle plates. I was finding the Pfaltzgraft did not microwave too well...got way too hot. Plus the plates were a bit on the heavy side. I have white Corelle dishes...I beleive they are called Enhancements.

Wait a second, you're only supposed to have ONE pattern for your dishes? Really?

Oops, guess I never got that memo 'cuz I have dishes of all types. Most of them are the heavier plastic type(Melamine?)but I have all colors and even some that are shaped like things. My favorites are the ones shaped like cartoony crabs.

Same thing applies to the bowls, cups, glasses and silverware. I buy whatever is on sale and/or appeals to me most.

If I were to actually have matching dishes I would have Fiestaware. My sister has it and loves it. The bright colors are fantastic.
