I am selling some stuff at a flea market tomorrow, it will be my first one and I want to make it a great sale. So far I have posted on Craigslist some of the stuff I will have and how to find me (its a large market and we won't know where are spot is until we get there in the morning, so I am going to put my large white stuffed bear on the top of my car since the car will be behind our table) I have $20 in change to start with (quarters, $5, singles) and lots of plastic bags to bag the stuff. I also have a tote of small stuff for kids that each thing I am only asking 25 cents. Any other ideas to make this a great sale??? TIA

*I might start off w/ a bit more change because most people come from the ATM and only have $20's.
*Have most of your stuff priced or know what you want for it
*Can you sell H2o? Here in SO.CA it's around 80 degrees outside at 5pm
HAVE FUN!!!!!

If you have clothes please hang them or fold on a display table it's difficult and unappealing to go through a box of stuff and on hangers you can get more for the clothes.
Have lots of $1 bills and lots of change if you are selling stuff for change or at least quarters.
Bring lots of food and beverages for your family the concessions are often crappy and overpriced.
Put a price on stuff a little higher maybe depending on the item up to 10-20% higher so they can negotiate it down and feel like they really got a bargain.
Put some free stuff in a basket with one item for each $5 or $10 or whatever (depending on what you're selling) purchase.
Make sure things are displayed pleasingly and everything is grouped together so people will grab lots of tools or shoes or fishing stuff.
Be patient and watchful and don't let anyone take advantage of you. A smile and a joke go a long way. You'll be tired at the end of the day so have a dinner plan already and possibly a hot bath waiting!
