Immense relief

1) husband finally found an apt. and is moving out.
2) when we told the children, they took it amazingly well. I was prepared for tears and questions and anger---but there really was none of that. I know that I was given a blessing from above today in that I was able to talk to my kids and keep myself together.
3) He's moving by the end of the week.
4) I could cry! This has been a huge stressor, and I've been worried. So far, it's going ok.

I'm so glad to hear that, Marilyn. I know it isn't easy, but you seem to be doing just fine. Hang in there girl ... you're doing the right thing!

I was wondering about how things were going for you, but figured you'd post either when you had an update or felt like doing so.

I'm glad things are looking up for you. I hope things continue to look up and get better!

Good news I guess. I'll keep praying that things proceed for you and the kids. remember that the kids may want to talk later and tears may appear when you least expect them.

Children are smart they knew what was up and probably feel as relieved as you do in a way. I'm glad you'll have peace in your home and be able to think and start doing what you need to do to be where you want to be in life.

Thank the Lord! I hope everything keeps going smoothly for you. You certainly deserve a little peace. I agree with anna.. this is probably as much of a stress reliever for your kiddo's as it is for you. Even if they didn't know what was going on they can sense what you're feeling.

How's it going, marilynk? Hoping that the move out was uneventful and there is some peace and reduced stress in your home...

I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure they felt the tension and will be more relaxed now. I know when I got divorced when my youngest was 11 within a year he really started coming out of his shell. There was no fighting in our house-it was more the silent treatment from my ex-but there was always an underlying tension. Sometimes divorce is better for the children.

*sigh*
He's out. The kids are ok and seem to be handling it ok. I'm fine.
It's been the calmest 3 mornings of getting the kids up and ready and out the door in the longest time!

I still don't think he 'gets' any of his own behaviour....but right now, I'm trying not to worry about him, and worry about me and my boys!
