Thumbs up New Dutchboy household paint eliminates household odors, all year long?

Have you guys seen this commercial for this new paint by Dutchboy? They claim that it eliminates household odors all year long. Have you heard of this? How can a paint do this?

They said in the commercial that something like 85% of us can't smell the overall odor of our own house (because we are used to it I guess) but other people smell it for sure, but don't fear--this new paint will help eliminate those odors.

I looked it up on their website and it's called Refresh paint.

Adds Beauty. Eliminates Household Odors. The first and only paint with Arm & Hammer® odor-eliminating technology that beautifies and eliminates odors at the same time.

So it has Arm & Hammer in it. I just don't see how that can eliminate odors all year long. What if you have a smoker in the house? I mean, it would be great if this really worked!! Funny, at the site they don't say how much it costs. They sell it at walmart though. But I can't find a price anywhere; not at home depot, nor lowe's, nor walmart.com. Would cost a ton to ship it, but just wondering how much could a gallon cost?

Dutch Boy is having a contest, if you want to enter. Think you've got the stinkiest house? Then go for it! You'll get 50 gallons of this paint and a chunk of money too! MyHouseStinks : Home At least vote for your favorite stinky room choice. I'm glad our PC's don't come with smellovision!!

I am also curious I have a cat and a smoker and wonder how well it will work. I'm not ready to paint so I haven't looked for any prices.

Wow, thanks! That's kinda high, I'll wait for reviews to see if this stuff really works. Somehow, I doubt it does, haha! Maybe epinions will have a review soon. Thanks for the help.

I think $23ish for a gallon of paint is in the normal range for a decent quality interior.

I also think that A&H is desperately pushing their stuff into so many things. Pretty soon I will expect to see undies with A&H to take care of odors there ! I mean, really, why quit with laundry, cleaners, the fridge, your food, paint.....I say undies next !

The site said that the paint came out in 2008 so the reviews should be posted somewhere.

If one of you uses it and it works let me know although I guess it would be a while before we actually knew huh? Not that my house stinks but in winter it's closed up and gets stuffy.

I haven't painted for a few years, but I'd be willing to try this paint in my bathroom, which is where the cat box is.

I'm already cat box paranoid and scoop the thing everytime I see anything in it so I don't have a big odor problem but maybe this paint could be another line of defense. One of my biggest fears is to have guests come over and think my house stinks like cat.

Plus, a gallon would be more than enough to do the bathroom so the cost wouldn't be that bad.
