What TV shows do you watch?

DS and I loved watching the Sarah Connor Chronicles and the Unit. We would DVR them, then sit down to watch. I just read that they have both been canceled! When I do turn on the TV and look at the major networks, it seems like it is mostly reality shows. I don't like those! What do you watch??? Anything good I should know about? I know there are multiple CSIs and Law and Orders, but those don't really do anything for me either...

My favorites are CSI: NY, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, and The Office. I don't watch a whole lot of television but these are the ones I make sure I watch every week. I used to love reality tv but I've kind of moved on from it.

I hate reality TV too. I don't watch all of these every time they're on, but when I'm in a TV mood, I'll watch one of these if it's on:

- The Office
- 30 Rock
- Gray's Anatomy
- Desperate Housewives (guilty pleasure)
- Antiques Roadshow
- New Adventures of Old Christine
- The Daily Show
- The Colbert Report
- Gossip Girl (another guilty pleasure)
- Rick Steve's travel show
- Big Bang Theory
- Weeds

Word Girl. The only show worth watching, and the only show I watch. I'd much rather play with my daughters or read a book.

I dvr Hoarders. Makes me feel like my house isn't messy at all.
My 4 year old has me dvr Toddlers & Tiaras. She loves watching the little girls dress up.
My 9 and 10 year old sons dvr Dr Who, Paranormal State and Forensic Files, they are so weird.

We all watch a lot of shows like Forensic Files on ID channel.

Luckily there is no show any of us feel like we have to watch. So if we miss it we know we can catch again some other time.

Oh I also dvr every 120 Minutes episode, it's my guilty pleasure. Takes me back to my 20s.

ETA I also dvr Big Medicine. And 16 and Pregnant, LOL, another guilty pleasure. I hadn't watched MTV in years and then caught an episode of this.
We also watch Intervention a lot, but not every episode.

When my sweetie was laid off for 5 months, I cancelled our Dishnet subsciption. And I have found enough to watch on the internet to keep me happy. I may never renew the sub.
I like:

The Closer
Saving Grace
Leverage
HawthoRNe
NCIS
Royal Pains
CSI (Las Vegas)
Ugly Betty
Samantha Who

One that I can't decide if I like it or not is Dark Blue. Oh and I liked Castle but I think it may have been cancelled.

I'm almost embarrased to list the number of shows we watch. We DVR everything, and zoom through commercials and recaps. It's amazing how many shows you can watch that way!

All three CSI's (don't know if we'll stick with Las Vegas with Grissom gone)
Criminal Minds
The Mentalist
Bones
Fringe
House
Warehouse 13
The Closer
Saving Grace
HawthorRNe (can't decide if I like it or not)
Leverage
Burn Notice
Medium
Numbers
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice
Castle
Glee ( love this show!)
Heroes
NCIS
Dexter
Big Love
True Blood
The Tudors
Chuck
Lie to Me

Then there are my reality shows

Survivor
Amazing Race
So You Think You Can Dance
Hell's Kitchen
Clean House
Amazing Wedding Cakes
Cake Boss
Ultimate Cake off
What Not to Wear
Ace of Cakes
I also like to the watch the Food Network Challenge, when they do cakes....

During the Fall/Winter we watch Football on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday!

The 3 I tape daily are: Young & Restless, People's Court and Judge Judy

I also enjoy Power, Privilege and Justice (but their won't be any new ones now that Dominick Dunne is gone - I will miss him)

Also, Forensic Files

I enjoy many of the movies on The Hallmark Channel and Lifetime Movie Network

LOL - I do, too

My house looks immaculate by comparison

In all seriousness, though, the people on this show have real mental problems so it's pretty sad.

Yep, we DVR every single show we watch even if we're home to watch them "live" so we can watch them an hour later without the commercials

I know it is. That one woman that wouldn't throw away all the old rotten food. She had dairy products that expired over two years ago

This past weeks episode was really sad, the animal hoarder. They found like 70 some cats in her house and over half were dead.

Well right now I am in a mix of programs some with my husband and son we totally love love sons of anarchy with Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal, I actually was totally addicted to him from Beauty and the Beast with Linda Hamilton I wanted to live under the ground of the tunnels of New York City. We also loved watching Rescue Me but its over for now. We also love watching Dog the Bounty Hunter we love love that show. As far as some other shows I love with my son we like to watch intervention and horders its so so sad, especially intervention I say I will not watch but I find myself drawn to the program in hopes that the outcome will be good for the people involved and horders I saw the one with the lady who had the food obession that one was scary, because she probably has many stomach and intestional problems and its so sad. I used to watch animal precient no more too sad I cannot and will not watch any cruelty to any animals . Thanks to all for sharing we sure love to watch television... Peace. Catherine

House
Deadliest Catch
Bones
Ghost Whisperer
SYTYCD
Ameican Idol
Rehab at the Hard Rock
The Smoking Gun Presents the World's Dumbest

Any time I can catch a Red Sox game on TV, I'm there. I also watch a lot of Animal Planet and Discovery network programs.

Except for the above shows, I mostly channel surf.

OK, ETA... As long as others have admitted to watching Hoarders, I will too. The food one really got to me. It was like that pumpkin was something alive to her and she was grieving that it had turned to goo. Those people need some serious help.

I have become obsessed with watching Hoarders on a&e - and intervention, too. I see a little bit of myself and DH in the Hoarders show and it scares the living daylights out of me. Yikes! There was one episode with the lady shopping at Target for all the bargains that readlly hit home!! Well, if nothing else, it's helping me to shop and stockpile less.

That is why me and my husband well especially me I am so addicted to the sons of anarchy with one of my favorite actors Ron Perlman, my husband has always been a fan, but I go way back to the television series Beauty and Beast , omg Vincent and Catherine I was totally in love with the show and the characters. To me Vincent while his character was not real , I was so drawn to the fact that the story line and focus of the story taught us as viewers to look past what you see on the outside and look more on the inner beauty. However to me Vincent was both beautiful inside and out and I always will love the actor Ron Perlman. I also love watching Hoarders and Intervention as well and of course Dog Dwanye the Bounty Hunter and his family . Peace to all . Catherine

I love Judge Joe Brown! I watch him twice a day if the kids will let me.

Lately I have been watching Skins, anyone watch that. Completely junky soap opera like show on BBC America. Aimed towards teens I guess since all the actors are teens. I have been watching it this week while sick on the sofa, darn cold!

We DVR a lot:

*The Good Wife (I noticed no one mentioned that one -- I love it - courtroom drama)
*Hell's Kitchen
*Amazing Race
*Survivor (I think it's pretty good this time)
*Desperate Housewives
*Brothers & Sisters
*Sons of Anarchy
*We DVR the CSI's but I've gotten to the point where I don't really like them -- seems like the same thing every week....
*Two 1/2 Men
*Bridezillas (if I'm in the mood!)
* Any old sitcom like Andy Griffith, Leave It To Beaver, Lucy, Golden Girls
*Virginia Tech FOOTBALL!
*Steelers games
*Looking forward to LOST
I know there's more, just can't think of them now.

Congrats. I watch Days of Our Lives too and don't watch any others. I also watch Army Wives. Will Sami end up with Rafe? What about Sydney? Ahhh, the days of our lives!!! I wonder if Kristian (Hope) is making a film or something and that's why she's gone for awhile.... I think Nicole is pregnant in real life so I wonder how they will work that into the show now.....
