If you ladies are referring to me then I will answer if its not me then I am sorry. However I do not find it funny for I would have liked if you could have at least agreed with him on a more serious issue relating more to the serious issues our country is facing like the war. While I 100 percent agree Kanye West was a jerk to do what he did to Taylor so poor taste. I have always said I am finding myself I do not agree with all President Obama has done so far , but again I have asked one supporter of ex President Bush to please come forward and admit he did leave a huge mess in the lap of President Obama to deal with, but I yet to see that hear on the boards. I have seriously tried my very best to stay away from political discussions on this board because it gets me no where. No for this thread to start I honestly thought perhaps wow perhaps there is hope, but when I opened up the thread it was about Kanye West nothing about our country and all his problems. Further more the most important issue for me is the war, which ex president Bush maintains the world is safe. The world is not safe, yes we took Saddam Hussein out, but he was not the one who attacked us, Osama Bin Laden did and to this day has not be captured. I know this got off topic however I am againist the war, we had no business too many innocent people have lost their lives, and will suffer permanent disabilities for the rest of their lives and of course all the innocent lost of lives in Iraq. So in the end I guess you could say I am not happy with this "100 percetn you agree with Obama and seem to think its so funny". I only posted one time and one time for I do not have the time and engery to fight a issue that is strong in my beliefs and again if I am not the Catherine you were referring to then I am say sorry edited to say I am not the only Obama supporter here there are many others. Thanks for the vent. I do not think I should say peace with this post but I will anyway. Peace. Catherine

As for the post from Catherine, dear, there are more things to Obama than the war. Are you keeping up with anything that is going on in Washington lately? OMG, what the heck is going on up there? Is anyone running the place? Maybe President Bush left Obama a mess, but Obama has MADE A MUCH BIGGER MESS that just seems to get bigger every day!!! I hate to see what this United States will be like after four years of him! |

His action was any garden variety of adjectives of less than desirable. And I will ask the question......anyone wondered if (since everyone loves to toss this at their convenience) it's a form of racism since he's black, she's black and yet the winner was white? A few of us were discussing this earlier in the week. An interesting point, but boy oh boy when it's the "other" way, usually it's ok. I have no idea if it was, wasn't, should have been, etc. Just wondering....... dl |

I feel like Jimmy Carter (who I used to really respect) is being a racist stating that if someone doesn't agree with Obamas policies it's because the president is black . 1) That's just a plain racist comment and 2) It implies IMHO that no one is smart enough to research his policies/programs and form an educated opinion on it-they just assume something because they are racist. I find what he said very offensive.

While I'm sure some don't like/approve of Obama because of his race, I think the majority that don't approve have a myriad of other reasons. It's just incredibly inflammatory to insinuate that Obama's 'opponents' are racist.

Honestly I do not like Al Sharpton at all and I do not like to think of him as a revenend of any kind not in my mind because all he does is cause trouble and stir the pot further to cause more harm then good. I totally agree if the shoe was on the other foot,he would be the first one to speak up he always is. I also believe if the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr were alive he would be embrassed by Sharptons actions. I do however like Jesse Jackson. I watched the interview by Taylor Swift backstage and she answered the questions like a lady I appauld her 100 percent again what Kanye West did whether he was drunk or not was in so poor taste. Peace. Catherine
