 NFL: What's with these throwback uniforms?
I'm watching the Pats play the Broncos.....what the heck is the story with these throwback uniforms? I've not seen anything quite as ugly as the brown and gold and striped socks ugliness that the Broncos are wearing.....Do you think they got dressed and looked at themselves in the mirror and thought they were stylin'?  The refs look like they should be selling Good Humor ice cream bars. What's the story with these uniforms? (Not a big NFL fan)

I hate football but my friend also commented on the uniforms so DH put the game on and we're like "WTF?". Yuck....with a capital "Y"

It's the 70th Anniversary of the AFC, so each week a game is 'retro'--from the uniforms to the refs to the cheerleaders (somewhat). Those were the most horrible uniforms the Broncos were wearing! I made the comment that there were probably some of the younger players, who pride themselves, on their fashionable attire, that probably cried when they had to wear those uniforms!! Probably wouldn't have been too bad--except for those striped tights!

When my husband flipped to that game, I was temporarily blinded but managed to squeak, "WTF is THAT!?!?" while flailing at the television. I LOVED the retro baseball uniforms. Football - not so much.

LoL I told my husband look the Broncos are trying to blind the Pats. They said the Broncos wore those uniforms to practice on Friday. I told my husband that was so their eyes had a chance to adjust to the color or else they wouldn't be able to see the ball for the brightness of those socks.

We were right there with ya'll.... YUCK! DH said it is probably to sell more jerseys - throwback uniforms as well as current. I would have been horrified to wear that Denver uniform.
