Does Anyone do Ebates?

I saw a commercial for it on tv last night. I don't plan on doing any online shopping right now but signed up for it and was wondering if anyone uses them.
On the commercial (not that I believe what I see on tv LOL) people said they received a check for such and such an amount.
Has anyone received a check from them?

Yes... If you read the internet deals boards they usually post what the cash back is through e bates...
It helps alot if you shop on line...

I've used Ebates for many years with no problem. When I purchase anything online, I always check to see if they participate in Ebates. The rebates vary depending upon the retailer, but every penny I get back I consider 'found money' so it's great!

I've used Ebates for a long time. First I had checks sent to me, but now I'm signed up for deposits to my PayPal account.

It's a good way to make a little cash on purchases you were making anyway!

I always check both eBates and MyPoints to see who has the best offer. Usually they're about the same.

It's a little bit too big brother-ish to me. I used it for awhile about 10 years ago but didn't feel that it was worth a little bit of money for them to know so much about me and my spending habits. Your decision of course.

I love ebates. Through the years (and I go through periods where I'm good about remembering and where I'm bad about remembering) I've gotten about $100 back from ebates on stuff I would have bought anyway. I just ordered my dog's pet treats and will get about $7 back from ebates (special treats for his teeth, so I order in bulk twice a year). I also just ordered from historychannel.com and will get $4 back from that. I think it's worthwhile. I have it depositing into my paypal account now, but I've received plenty of checks, as well.

If you order the passbook, it is great to go through ebates. Last year, with the ebates bonus and a coupon code, I got paid $1 to get the passbook!

It's the Entertainment book - tons of coupons for local things - restaurants, activities, supermarket, car rental, etc. We usually buy a couple and they quickly pay for themselves...

The 2010 Entertainment® Book - Great Savings on Dining, Shopping, Travel, Attractions, Movie Tickets & More!

Anna, off topic, but how is the job search going???

I've used them for years with no problems. I too have mine put in my Paypal account. The first thing I check now is Bing Cash Back. If you hit those at the right time, the discounts are really nice. I went through Bing the other day and got 25% off my purchase at Drugstore.com. I have to wait two months to collect it, but since my order was over $50 the shipping was free and my cash back will come to over $14. I can't get that return at ebates. Bing is hit or miss, but when your timing is right, it's really good. I think in the last year I have received over $150 from them. Most of it was last Christmas season shopping.
