Halloween is Next Week!

Have you decorated or carved pumpkins yet? For a fun idea to get you in the holiday spirit, you can use these downloadable Halloween Stencils to create a spooky Tombstone pizza. Here’s a link for the stencils. What Do You Want On Your TOMBSTONE?.

I am usually that way with Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think, for me, it has something to do with all the work involved and feeling like its a thankless task.

As for Halloween, the house is decorated and DD's have their costumes. My youngest carved her little pumpkin already. We will get bigger ones later....

We'll carve ours next Friday, since they get mushy SO quickly!

As far as decorations, I did very little this year. I have a bunch of mums outside, 2 pumpkins, and a little scarecrow hanging on the front door for outside. Just a dish with candy corns inside!

I decorated at the beginning of the month. I have a graveyard in my front yard as well as Halloween lights and other decorations. And on Halloween the strobe light with the scary music goes on the porch.

I love all the holidays. If I were rich I would decorate inside and out for every single one from President's Day on up and have parties to celebrate.

We grew our own pumpkins this year and have not carved them yet. I bought the candy a great deal at Costco for full sized bars and I also bought a big package of cheese and crackers. I can't wait to get dressed up and this year it's on a non work day for my husband so he's dressing up too. I am very excited!

I love the Fall and Halloween! I made a beautiful wreath, and put mesh like stuff around the door frame with fall leaves and other stuff tucked in. In the yard I have a hay bale, with 2 scarecrows and a 2 pumpkins by them.

In the house the mantel is really pretty with a fall arrangement and a pretty garland, and misc. pretties sitting around, pumpkins scattered about the house. You could say I like the fall!!! Oh, and caramel candles burning, they just smell like autumn to me!!

I also love fall and Halloween! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I've had the house decorated for about two weeks now. I've collected so many decorations over the years. Now that the kids are teens, I didn't think I'd want to decorate as much, but once I start, I can't stop. The little kids down the street enjoy looking at all of the decorations when they come up to our cul-de-sac to play. Inside I don't have that much Halloween stuff...just fall things like wreaths, candles, gourds, etc. I haven't carved pumpkins in years, but I have few carving kids from the Target clearances of the past. I was thinking of getting a few of those fake carveable pumpkins at JoAnn's or Michael's...has anyone tried doing that? Or should I stick to a real pumpkin? ~Lisa
