I just read that they found the little girls body at was taken on her walk home from school in Florida. Her Dad's comments really said it all, "they dumped her in a landfill like a pice of garbage" What kind of world has this become?

I just read that too...absolutely sickening. Human life just doesn't seem to have any value anymore. The elderly and children are treated the worst it sometimes seems. Just very, very sad... ~Lisa

My heart breaks for that family. Yes, human life is not valued the way it used to be at all. I know why but I'm going there today......

While this is a horrible crime, I don't think it's an overall trend. Violent crime rates have dropped significantly in the last 18 years.

Back in the 20's and 30's murder rates were similar to those in the 80's. All much higher than now.

Little Somer only lived less than an hour from our house. I can't even bring myself to read the article about the elderly mom being killed. I am just so angry at how people act. What would make someone do this? There must be something horribly going wrong in the chemistry in their brains. I just don't get it.
