Has anyone tried CutCo products?

I never have but have heard others say how great they are but very expensive.
I guess they sell mostly knives and other kitchen utensils.
Actually I had never ever heard of them.

We have a set of knives, they've been great! They are pretty expensive in my opinion, glad we didn't pay for them. I've cut myself many times by touching one by accident in the bottom of the sink.

eta: I've seen some on Ebay, I was thinking about buying an extra paring knife and I think they were going for around $30-40 on there. If you're considering buying a set, maybe you could just buy one piece and see how you like it first.

Yes, they are very sharp -- we always make it a point to NEVER leave them in the sink -- we wash them immediately and put them away immediately so we have never, ever gotten cut on them.

DD actually sold CutCo when she was in college and did very well. They are expensive but they last forever. My SIL had a knife for over 20 years that finally got a small nick in it and they replaced it right away free of charge.

I have a few huge cutco knives, the butcher block set and also the set of steak knives. They were all gifts from my mother in law. I love them all. I bought a magnetic knife strip to hang on my wall in the kitchen, and thats where I keep most of them. They are very sharp!

Only one knife needed for me. I always keep it in its box and out of the way so no accidents happen with the very sharp knife. I personally didn't like it to chop some things like veggies as it seemed to grab and stick. However, it cuts meat products and craft projects wonderfully. I also have the cutco potato peeler and I will never need to buy another peeler. Extremely expensive - it was painful to fork out the $$$, but worth it for 1 knife to cut things other knives just can't.

I love them! I have a block on them plus some extras. They were pricey but so worth it!I worked out a barter deal with the products I sell with a guy who sells Cutco. I would never buy any other knives. I have given steak knife sets as gifts to my in-laws and they love them too.

thanks for all the replies
I had a kid come and show me the products and I was very impressed. I bought a boning knife and I'm considering getting the whole set with block.
I have a set of Henckels but I like these much better.
