Hulk Hogan?

Anyone catch HH on Larry King Live last night ? He has come out with a new book it seems, an autobiography. He really seems so sad, even though on LKL he tried to act as if his new girl ( Jennifer) is bringing him so much more joy in his life. I dunno. I am not some sort of Hulkamania fan..just such a sad ending to a sad family.

He describes his ex as very abusive to his children and himself. The reality show was trying to have one last effort to bring his family together..

I love(d) that show and enjoyed seeing how they were a good, happy family.
I was so shocked and surprised when all of this stuff came out.
Now Brooke's show is so sad when she is together with Hulk and I do try to remember that we are only seeing one side of the story.
The saddest was when they all were in St Pete and were on a "small" boat and went by the old house and Hulk said that is the house that I spent my career building and some young kid is living in it and the dogs were all at the pier barking at them and they could not even go close enough (legally) to be with them.
Sad sad sad.

Yeah, I saw that too . He also mentioned seeing this young man driving around town in an Escalade he bought and paid for. I have to admit, that would get my goat as well. One thing I remember about their reality show..Linda baked brownies and asked Hulk to walk around their new neighborhood and give them out to neighbors as a housewarming thing..They were moving in though, not the other way around...Well..Hulk got all attitud"ish" about it, walking around all cocky. They knocked on doors and the only neighbors to answer were the maids who did not speak English.

After they got home, Linda was clearly upset that they did not make new "friends" with the neighbors...Hulk was not really validating her hurt..I do remember he seemed to be horsey behind about her feelings.

I liked the show and was sad when they announced that they were divorcing. What a sad chain of events

And problems for the Teutels, and the whatever the 8 show is also.

Reality shows invade people's lives to such a degree, I don't think they realize it when caught up in all the perks of being a "celebrity" with the bright lights shining all over. Real fast, and bam their lives are disasters.........

I think, the only family that wasn't adversely affected by their reality show was The Osbournes---of course, they were pretty screwed up at the get go!

Laughed out loud at that one! Kelly is sooo cute on Dancing with the Stars though. I'm not an Osbourne fan but I'm rooting for her. She's adorable on it. (Never thought I'd say that!)

I don't think the reality show screwed up the Hogans- they have been in the spotlight for years because of his wrestling career.
They are always in the news down here- heck the tv channels would break into other shows when they were going to court with their divorce this year with breaking news alerts about them. Before that it was about their son Nick and his court case. We heard more about his case than about the guy who was involved in the accident and is permanently disabled.

I watch Gene simmons sometimes, out of all of them I'd rather watch them, kids dont beat on each other and they seem to really get along.

I love Sharon Osbourne!

And really, those kids have had their own struggles--but seem pretty well-adjusted. There is an older daughter that declined to be on the show....

I've read several interviews w/ Jack and Kelly Osbourne, and they are very up-front w/ their addiction problems. And IIRC, both have said that seeing themselve on the show prompted them to seek help.

Oh, thought of another family that doesn't seem adversely affected: Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed ("Family Jewels" on A&E). Surprisingly, they seem oddly normal!

Red face

On all these reality shows for me personally I would never want a camera around me all the time in my private life. As far as the Ozzy and Sharon for me again way too much cursing and to see what drugs did to Ozzy was depressing. As far as the Hogan knows best I did not like his wife at all too much of a show off. Honestly I agree 100 percent about the Gene Simmons family jewels, they to me seemed more a real family, real caring no cursing the only thing that bothered me about that show, was that Gene still refuses to get married. I know that most people feel it is just a piece of paper for me its more, I do feel he is committed to Sharon however for the sake of his children and more then that, I love knowing I have my husbands name and just plain being married. We already know what all these reality shows do just look at Jon and Kate plus 8 where will it end. Getting back to Hogan I cannot believe he is getting back into wrestling he is so much pain and has all those fights have taken a huge impact on his body I honestly do not know how he will be able to handle it , it is really true that his ex wife took all his money?? are those rumors true if so , again so sad. Peace. Catherine
