I was recommended to ask this on this board because perhaps I would get someone that knows what this is better than on the Around My House and Garden board.

Was wondering if anyone knows what kind of bugs would cause these tracks:



There are also little tiny pinholes(don't know if you can see them on the image, but there are 2 there), tons and tons of them, along with these burrows. This is on the posts on my porch. The previous owner used actual tree trunks as posts for the awning. I also have seen little tiny "flying ants" is what I call them cause that's what they look like, going to and zipping into the holes. There are no signs of termites or any of these on the inside or outside of the home itself, just on these posts.

Have you seen any bugs like this on them?

Oh yea...the second ones. They look like flying ants to me. Long skinny flying bugs with wings longer than their bodies.

I certainly don't know, however, termites eat and leave spaces where they've munched. I doubt you have termites. Pick a couple of reputable companies to come out and give you an idea / estimate.

That way, you will know for sure.

Looks like termites to me too. We found then about a year after we bought our house.
