Is there a way to verify someone's degree?? IE- college degree, master's etc..I've looked on the college website-no info under alumni; college won't give info unless a business etc; is a background check teh only way?? I've verified part of the licensure via the state licensing board; trying to evaluate when the master's was obtained since resume has no dates (red flag) and when you ask the individual a general time period-mind you this was to have been obtained recently-6 years or less ago..

The applicant needs to give written permission. Contact the school with your request and the applicant's authorization. You can get the transcript.

believe the individual is lying so will not be able to get authorization from them unfortunately

If they won't give permission to verify, tell them you are sorry but until you can verify, they do not qualify for the job
