I always tell myself I am not crazy enough to get up that early and somehow I always end up doing it!! I always feel like I might miss out on something if I am not there as early as possible!!!

KTS this is exactly how I am about the last week of Christmas shopping! I love to get my shopping done and then get out in the crowds and watch people go nuts! I think I could spend all day everyday the last week before Christmas out in the crowds people watchin. I ALWAYS go to Wal Mart the last few hours Christmas eve just to see how stressed everyone is! |

cant find the article now, read earlier today stores are changing their times to try to make a more steady stream of people instead of people killing/trampling each other to get to something cause theres 70 people rushing to get into the door and to the item all at once. I've been to one BF sale, everyone was pretty polite for the most part but the "OMG I GOTTA GET IT FIRST!!" people scare me

I give credit to all you ladies who can get up that early or yet stay up late and shop at those hours I could never ever do that, I do not like crowds and can only imagine all the crowds of people who enter in the stores at those hours to get the best deals. I am always the person who loves a great deal, perhaps like kts said that the store will open at 12 a.m. perhaps the stores would not be as crowded as compared to 4/5/6 a.m. Oh well either way ladies good luck and have fun shopping and be careful of the crowds. Peace. Catherine

If I go on BF (depends on whether I have a job by then or not) I am going to have breakfast and hot cocoa instead of standing in line. Then I'm going across the parking lot when the doors open and shopping. I made that vow last year. I never go for any of the limited items like electronics I just want the doorbusters that they usually have plenty of. I am too old to stand out in the cold when I could be eating hash browns, scrambled eggs and drinking hot cocoa.

Kathy, Kohls has opened at 4 am on BF for the last 2-3 years. Target used to open at 7 am, and then started several years ago opening at 6 am. One of the malls here in Des Moines started opening up at 12:01 am on BF the last two years and will be doing the same this year. For those of you that don't think there would be that many people out at midnight, in 2007 there were well over 2000 people standing outside to get into this mall. There were so many people in the mall that you could barely move. It was a miserable shopping experience. Also, I haven't seen the BF ad to verify this yet, but the manager at one of the Toys R Us stores here told me that all TRU stores would be opening at midnight this year.
