| YAHOO~Have to brag!!
WOW~I am so happy with today's mail!!! Report cards came and there were great grades!! (B+ and above) At my daughter's school you must make an 87% or above to be on the honor roll (in Georgia it was just a plain flat out B no matter how low it was). Last year was our first year at this school and she never made the 87% and today she did. This is a real accomplishment this year because we have seen that she is really trying to do her work on her own and uses study halls to get work finished. ALSO, the reason this is a BIG DEAL to me is that she is not the strongest academically and really struggles. What might take some other girls 45 minutes to do has actually taken my girl 4 hours. I am a proud mom right now. I just had to share because this really pulled me out of my gloomy mood. I just cannot wait to see her at 3pm and tell her the good news. (She is not the type of child that will be to thrilled on the outside with this but I know that she will be happy inside and will see what all her hard work has done)

Congrats to your daughter. She should be very proud of her hard work! My dd is in 8th grade this year and found out that she may be able to skip Algebra her freshman year and go straight to Geometry. She has been in the gifted program in Science, Math and English for a few years. I am so proud, because she works very hard to maintain her grades. Its wonderful to see our children do so well. Although I can't help her much with her homework <grin>.

awww congrats!! I was the same as your daughter and never really did well in school. I was so scared when in University I got a letter that I was on the Dean's list...I had to ask my grandma what that was!! LOL Every semester after that I got straight A's and am missing school now that I have finished. It's weird how we go backwards sometimes
