Very very sad. Drugs make people do things that are so horrendous.

This breaks my heart. In the motel videos I saw on Nancy Grace she looked comfortable and happy in the man's arms. Where the hell could she be? They had to have done something to her in the hotel and then what? No surveillance videos show her leaving the place. Obviously as in all cases the police are keeping a lot of information out of the news. They must have some evidence of something of the pitiful excuse for a mother would not be in custody. I bet the man spilled the beans to save his sorry ass.

I am not familiar with this case, but read the article. I just can't fathom the fact that the mother was in on this. Was the little girl being forced into prostitution? This is really a horrendous, sick story, and I'm afraid the longer time goes by, something terrible probably happened to the little girl.

If the report is accurate, may the lil' angel rest in peace now. As far as Mario McNeill spilling the beans, everything I have read seems just the opposite. Not going to comment on what I think should happen to Shaniya's mother and McNeill.

It just comforts me to know that God is holding this little angel tight right now.

I am devastated for the father and other family members. I am not a naive person I have been around the block so many times that I have frequent flier miles. However this breaks my heart and right now if I could get my hands on that creature that gave birth to her I would tear her apart and post it on the internet all bloody pieces just to teach a lesson to others like her. I know it wouldn't do much good but this creature does not deserve to live among civilized people.
Being a Mom I can't imagine anyone hurting my baby much less giving him to someone to terrorize and abuse.
I can't get a grip on it.

All I can say is I agree with ILoveMyChurch that little angel is finally safe and most likely no matter what horrors she endured were nothing compared to what could have happened to her had they kept her and sold her over and over again.

May God have more mercy on them than I do.

I'm having a tough time with that one, myself.

I just wonder what abuse she has endured before all this happened and became public....her mom has probably abused her since day 1.

Her Mom has only had her for a month. Her father raised her. She was born from a one night stand. He said the Mother had gotten a job and a house and she wanted to mother Shaniya for a while. So she may have been abused for a month before that it appears she had a regular life of a child.

Wow - I hadn't heard that. Just wow. I can't imagine what that father is going through - thinking he was doing what was best for her and it ending up like this.
