I am wondering if any of you are alltel users, and if you are, what phone do you have? I want a basic phone, don't do pictures or texting. We are looking to buy one that does not have to have a plan, and wonder what to get. I am in an area with little reception, so good reception is most important to me.

Do you get good reception with Alltel or can you switch companies? I don't have Alltel, haven't in years because I hate when I use to call out to other people and it went "click, click, click" all the time. That and reception was bad so I dropped them. It's been years so the phones have changed. I would just suggest going to the dealer and saying that you want a basic phone and go from there. They should let you have a trial run with your phone, meaning that if you don't like it, you can bring it back and exchange it for another one.

Alltell is the only company that works where we are, so we don't have any choice there.
