Any good BF ads? Anyone going?

Anyone find anything worth going out for this year? The Penneys ad looks pretty interesting with the cookware. That's about the only one that has me interested at this point. I could always get rid of some scratched up skillets and replace them with some better ones.

I always go to WalGreens and get the buy 1 get 2 free Patriot candles. They are really nice. My 9 year old son loves the cookie crunch scent it smells just like chocolate chip cookies. I think one candle is $6.99 so you get three for about $7. I buy 2 and get 4 free, the limit is 6 I believe. They really smell good!

Also I usually go to Joanns for the cheap flannel. It used to be .99 a yard but I think last year they raised it to $1.50 a yard, still a great price.

So if I go I'll hit Joanns first, it takes so long there getting fabric cut, and stop by a Walgreens or two on the way home. WG also has some kind of WebKinz B1G1 and my kids are into those this year so I may pick up a few of those for stockings.

ummmm....NO! There is absolutely nothing on sale that I can't live with out. "Black Friday" is madness and I refuse to participate in the madness ever again.
(now watch someone have something that my kidlets want at a phenomenal price! :-P

I am kind of broke this year but I am going to one store because I earned a $100 GC from participating in a focus group. I also won a $100 GC to VS but I am not sure when that one will arrive. Would be nice to go there on BF too.

Yeah that's why I kind of stick to Joanns and Walgreens. Never have seen a crowd there. Joanns does get a long line at the cutting table but it is very orderly. Everyone swaps fabrics while standing in line and discuss what we are planning on making. Joanns hands out snacks.
Never saw a crowd at WG ever. Go in, grab my candles and check right out.

According to the ad websites the fabric will be $1.49/yard.

Yeah still a great deal. I make my kids lots of flannel lounge/jammie pants and with the scraps I make wipes/cloth kleenex, so much nicer when you have a cold than using paper kleenex.

I looked online and they have cute prints this year!

We go shopping on BF every year. There are some pretty decent ads this year, but it really depends on what you're looking for. This year we're not after anything big. We're just basically going for games, video games, DVDs and a few other odds and ends (my DH is wanting a Snuggie from Office Max).

BTW, if anyone needs to see a copy of the ads and has problems finding them, I've got most of them saved so I can email them to you. If you're looking for something, just send me a PM with your email address and the ad you're wanting, and I will email it to you. Hopefully, it's okay if I offer to do that here.

I went to Target and Best Buy and scored the things that I really wanted. Checked out three times at Target (electronics) and once at Best Buy - started at 5am and was done at 5:45. Then, against my own better judgment, went to Walmart to pick up a $10 Xbox 360 game for DS who has not been feeling well and wanted a game to play. What a fricking zoo. Total chaos, total disorganization....took an hour to check out. Registers in the front of the store were worse. Everytime I go to Walmart, it reinforces why I normally boycott the place....just not my style.

Wow, that was some great shopping!! The lines to check out at Target here were totally awful. My best deals were at Younkers where I got some Fiesta Ware place settings, some LED flashlights and a mattress pad. I did go to Kohls about 2 hours after they opened and the lines were still pretty bad. I got two different sets of the super priced cookware and a pocket watch. Since I had a piece of jewelry I went over to the jewelry counter where there was one or two other people checking out so I got out of there in no time. It was fun. It's more fun when you don't "have to" get something since there's no pressure then.
