Good question, I'd like to know as well.  We have an HDTV and I bought the girls a Wii for Christmas this year.

I got it afterwards and i cant tell the diffrence, but we also got rid of HD programing for satillite because there was no diffrence to us. I guess really hardcore gamers might notice something but i dont
