What are you Thankful for this year?

Everyday life is getting harder and harder all the time for thousands of individuals and families with the economy the way it is. People are losing their jobs and homes everyday and people are finding it harder and harder to feed their families.

We are quick to complain about what we dont have or what someone has said or done, but when do we stop complaining and start celebrating what we do have??

I would like everyone to stop for just a few minutes this Thanksgiving (and everyday) to just reflect on what you have to be thankful for.

I am thankful for:

My family
My Faith
My Church
My Health
My house
My car
The food in the kitchen to feed my family
The heat that warms our house
The Air Conditioning that cools our home on those HOT days
I am thankful for all we have everyday.

Today can sometimes look bleek and dim, that is when I think about all of those that dont have even 1/8th of what we do and that things can always get worse.

Be Thankful for what you have today as it can be gone tomorrow.

Its been a rough year for my family. But, we do have a great many reasons to be thankful. I am thankful for:
My dh surviving his stroke (at the age of 47), and having no lasting problems
My beautiful daughters are healthy and happy
Our daughter, Kate will graduate top of her class (Surgical Tech) next month
Our daughter Faith is loving 8th grade and is getting A's
My dh will be moving to a day shift after years working third shift
The fundraiser for our cousin who has lukemia, was a huge success!
That my marriage is stronger than ever....

A nice warm house. My son. A good husband. My family. A pantry full of food. Enlightenment. My new job. My health. My pets. My friends. God. That the world and the human race are still here relatively intact. My cooking skills.

In addition to the usual things such as family, friends and health, I'm thankful for:

-my new, high-speed internet connection
-not having to work on Black Friday(I work in retail)

I am greatful for all that has already been said. I am also greatful for my two part-time jobs. I am greatful in my positive thinking that my DH will find a job in the new year. I am greatful that we have time together now. I am greatful that we have three kids in college but they are still living at home and we get to see them everyday. I am greatful that we will be getting together with family for thanksgiving.

First and foremost, mine and my family's health. After that, still miraculously being in our house. Having beautuful holiday plans, a good job, plenty of food to eat, people that truly care for us.
We are honestly so blessed!! So much to thank God for come Thursday!!!

I continue to be thankful for my awesome job and my outstanding sons. I am thankful for the upcoming opportunity that I have to travel to Guatemala to build with Habitat for Humanity - really looking forward to it.
