Why Hasn't THIS Caught on?

I was wondering: since so many "holiday" foods taste so darn good the next day, why don't we just cook everything up a few days ahead of time and serve it up cold from the fridge when company comes?
There could be a microwave and a toaster oven for warming for those who want to but in my opinion stuffing for example tastes way better cold the next day than when it's warm and fresh.

What do you think? Should we start a new tradition? lol

Cold stuffing? Bleh... :-P Um, I don't like that idea at all. I like cooking and cooking for most of the day. It's theraputic. Plus then there wouldn't be time for the men to go waste, oops, I mean play football.

Yeah, I don't think I like that idea either. I love leftovers, but I want them fresh the first time!

I am totally for this. I even cooked my turkey 2 days ahead and cut it all up this year. I loved that I didn't even have to start "cooking" anything until noon, instead of being up at 5am. Then again it's just us and our 3 kiddos. I might feel differently if I had a big presentation to make.
