In keeping with nthe christmas theme

How do you wrap your gifts? Paper or bags? Bows and ribbon or just plain? Colors and patterns that compliment each other or a variety of colors and patterns.
My mother always liked to use different paper patterns and colors,so the family gifts under her tree were colorful but clashed. The extended family gifts were under our tree. I like to match the colors and patterns. Not all the same but trying not to clash. I like the convience of bags and use them when I can. mostly for odd shape things.

I usually have some sort of color or theme in my wrappings and I try to coordinate it with my daughter's since most will be under her tree for a couple of weeks. The things that go elsewhere are usually coordinated also but not necessarily the same as my daughter's. I don't use any more bags thanI have to.
They are just not as exciting to open.
One year I wraped the gifts for my grandsons in the same paper, but different for each boy. I didn't put tags on them because I knew which was which and I knew I'd be there when they opened them. Drove them crazy not know who's was who's because we usually take them to their house a couple of weeks early and they have lots of time to look and wonder! Even then both papers were penguins, but different designs.
I use both ribbon and bows (not on same pkg.) and I like to tie on an ornament to most packages. I buy them on clearence, of course, and some are small and from the Dollar Tree, 4 to a card or something like that so it doesn't cost a fortune.
I enjoy wrapping and I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!

We use everything...wrapping paper, bags, ribbons, some with bows, some without, plain paper, printed paper, shiny, not shiny, . We just pick out paper we like, I don't worry about whether is clashes or not. It's very colorful and festive.

each boy gets his own paper design, i dont put names on them just know what design goes to what kid.

I remember once mom had mine wrapped under the tree and since I was alone from time school let out until 6-7pm it got the best of me and I very gently unwrapped my stuff, played with it and wrapped it all back up exactly like it had been. went on until near Christmas when mom was moving stuff around she found the tape just didnt stick as well as it had when she stuck in on there. she was pretty mad but she kinda in a tiny way thoguht it was funny that I had wrapped and unwrapped for weeks without anyone fiding out sooner

First in wrapping paper then in gift bags. I don't use bows and I bought about 10 rolls of gift tags that are really cool and come out like tape on a dispenser. The packaging place was going out of business and I got them for a quarter each. I am stoked they'll last a long time. I love wrapping and giving gifts. I make some gift bags myself by taking the fronts of some cards from years past and gluing or border taping them to plain bags. People really like them. And the gift bags I buy I get at $ Tree they have beautiful ones with the Madonna and child on them and some other ones. I picked up a bunch last year when they were 2/$1 on sale.
I have the paper cutter thing from Scotch and this year I might get the tape thing you wear on your wrist depending on coupons and getting a good deal on that.
You can see I really get into it.

Anna I want to also get the new paper cutter and also the new hands free scotch tape it would make wrapping all those gifts so much easier. You sound like you have some wonderful ideas. Happy holidays to you and yours . Peace. Catherine

Depends on the item. I do wrap in Christmas paper. If I send the presents I usually put it in a bag with no bows. Got one of DH's presents in the mail today. He's getting it as is. I got him some Philadelphia Eagles Truck mats and there's NO WAY I'm wrapping them.

Wow, it's never even crossed my mind for my presents to match or whatever!!! My daughters and I all buy our own paper and enjoy wrapping them our own way.

I live all year for this season, so I just enjoy it to the fullest!! We are all so blessed to even have presents, to be able to give and receive!!

Now I feel like I ought to be saying "And God bless us everyone"!!!

Full wrapping regalia here. Bows, ribbons, ornamental ties, matched gift tags, you name it. No gift bags though....except for a few special things here and there that don't lend themselves to wrapping.... DH's family does not wrap....just hands you the gift in the store bag. Ugh, I hate that!

My late Aunt Theresa rest her soul used to buy those decorated boxes and she would put your gift in there and that was it easy and done with it however she was 77 when she passed , so no wrapping no tape to bows nothing I guess to each his own... Peace and stay safe in this holiday season. Catherine

Just started this last year and I am not sure why, but I really like the look..... I have a string of each clear, red and green lights on our tree so now my wrapping paper goes with. I only have paper with red, white, green or silver and all gifts will have bows and ribbon. I go a bit overboard with the wrapping and especially the tape I am told. LOL
