Not very good photos but this was the first time in the 5 years I've been in Florida that was able to catch one of these with my camera.





For a bird with such a reputation, they really get nervous when people are around. I had to take these from quite a distance. As it turned out, the minute he/she saw me, off it went.

The other bird in the photos is a boat-tailed grackle. He must have been the only brave one. There were at least a hundred more across the street all screaming at the eagle to get out of their space.
