Do you DREAD bra shopping?

Most women I know simply hate bra shopping. Most of us are in between sizes or something hangs over or bulges out or parts of the thing are slipping and sliding. There are too many choices and it's embarrassing. It's just not a fun thing.
Well I had never bought bras at Victoria's Secret because I'm well endowed and the bras only went up to a certain size. Since I won a $100 GC in FaceBook I went in. Well let me tell you it was the best shopping experience of my life! As soon as I walked in a lady came up and pleasantly greeted me and she really helped me. I knew what kind of bra I wanted so she measured me. Then she takes me around the store and shows me all different types. She takes me to the dressing room where they have try on bras of every kind and size in the store. I liked that right away I knew the bras I took home that day were not tried on by anyone else. The dressing rooms were large, well lit with complimentary lighting not that horrendous fluorescent lighting that other stores have. There was a large upholstered bench and big mirror.
The best part was as I was trying them on the attendant was there helping the ladies in the dressing room by bringing us different sizes and styles which meant I did not have to keep putting my own bra and top on to go scour the store as you do in dept. stores. They gave me a card with the choices I liked and the right sizes. They cost over $40 each but they are well made and the best bra fit I have literally worn in my 35 years of wearing a bra (my first one was at 12).
I have never received such wonderful customer service. I wish every store was like that. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a bra.
When I left I called corporate and complimented them and they are sending me a 30% off coupon for my next visit.
They also have really nice makeup I got two lip glosses in a perfect color for me.
You can also go to their website and sign up for an instant coupon on your cell phone that you can use right away.
I have shopped in fancy dept stores before and I have never felt so good as a customer.

I had a fitting with an "expert" a few years back at a major dept store. Luckily the bras I ended up with were on sale because they don't fit. I've lost 30 pounds and one of them is still too tight!!! Glad you had a good fitting.

Thanks for the info! I detest bra shopping. Right now, I am losing weight still so don't want to invest. After all, I have been miserable in a bra for years and years. lol I have lost a little over 40 pounds this year. I haven't really tried. It just finally is happening for me. No health cause other than digestive problems I have had for years. My endocrinologist said he could get the rest of the weight off me as soon as I was healthy enough after a severe bout of pneumonia almost 3 months ago. Hopefully I pass his vision for health improvement and we can get on with the weight loss show. I want to lose another 37 to 40 pounds this coming year. I will be able to function better when there is so much less of me. lol

KUDOS to KTS and EC for your weight loss!!!!

I like the "shopping" part, it's the trying on part that I hate....LOL. there are so many pretty styles, but, they don't all fit the same or proper way. That part is very frustrating for me.

I usually buy several when I find "the one".

Anna, glad your experience was so good, and WOO HOO on the win!!!

I hate that even the same brand run so differently in size.

I hate bra shopping. I never go into VS because I feel gross and fat Do they even carry bigger sizes? I need a 38 around I think. I always thought VS was just for skinny people.

In most styles it goes up to 38 in a few it goes up to 40. They only recently, within the last couple of years, started selling bigger sizes. And if you go this weekend you get a free one size fits all thong. I'm going to try it I may have to call for a search party to remove it.

LOL!!! Yeah I'm thinking a thong on my butt isn't a good plan either.

Cool though, when I get some extra $$ I need to go and get a good bra that actually fits me right. THANKS!

I don't love bra shopping either because they hardly make bras slightly padded in most of the larger sizes! Who wants to see it all?
well anyways that's my issue along with being a 34 in a larger cup which is hard to come by
maybe one day I can win a VS GC and get some nice ones. For now I will have to settle for my stupid kohls ones that keep falling from the shoulders.

Is there really such a thing as a one size fits all thong?

I've solved the bra shopping problem by just not wearing one unless I have a thin or tight shirt, and I've pretty much given up thin and tight shirts too.

Being the founder and main stock holder in the itty bitty t***y committee, I just whip out a new dental rubber band when one breaks.

I am just the opposite I don't want any padding at all. It is so uncomfy to me.

I like the push up bras with the pillow in them. They even have a fancy one with that stuff comfort foam mattresses are made from that form to your boobulas but alas the biggest size was 38 and I require a 40 in that style.

I hate bra shopping. I often end up looking in the teen department. I usually wear a 32/34 A. I did buy a Victorias Secret bra a few years ago that I really like. It was a 34 A. I really need one with padding.push up. I hate being flat chested!!!

They have tons of push up styles and the new one has that fancy bedding material so it shapes to your shape.
