I was just sitting here thinking about the past year. My husband died from cancer. I had to move as i could not afford the rent. My sister in law moved in and lost 2 jobs that were sent to Mexico. We now survive on $908.00 a month. But i have food in my stomach, a roof over my head, clothes on my back and a nice warm bed to sleep in every night. I may not see my kids or grandkids for Christmas, but at least i know they are doing ok. No matter what the situation is there is always someone worse off than me.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Be thankful for what you have, not what you do not have!

They're not. You just have to look at the rich celebreties and movie stars to see that....you think Tiger Woods is happy now? Owen Wilson tried to commit suicide, look at Rhianna, Whitney Houston, Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson just to name the few I can think of off the top of my head.

Money, wealth & things don't make you happy, attitude makes you happy and halfthumb (funny userid BTW!), you have the right attitude!

I needed to hear this today. I am upset that someone stole my kiddo's $100.00 TI84 Plus Graphing Calculator at school today. Semester exams are next week and to teach responsibility I have to return a Christmas gift to cover replacement.
I'm sick about this.
I needed to stop and see the bigger picture. I found it in this post. I need to stop wallowing around in self pity and think of the bigger hardships others are facing this holiday season.
