Question Facebook help, please! How do I get rid of Photo of the Day? DH is scaring me!

My DH has recently figured out how to post Photos of the Day. I am mortified because he never knew how to upload pics before, but now FB has made it super easy for him to pick n choose pics from our hard drive, and I have some of ME on there with curlers in my hair. NOBODY wants their pic posted like that, right? Although I keep removing the app Photo of the Day, he keeps putting another new one up every morning, before he leaves for work, before I get up. I am scared to check FB now, hahahah! We share the same FB account, but I'm thinking about giving him his own account! It was just easier in the beginning to use one account for both of us. It was only his family on there after all, that he wanted to stay in touch with. But it's getting out of hand with these pics!

I heard once you post ANY pic on FB, then they OWN that pic! That kind of talk scares me!

Is there a way to permanently disable this Photo of the Day app? I guess if not, I'll have to either 'move' our photos and hide them in a folder on the PC so he can't find them, or burn them all to discs and just delete them off the hard drive. I've looked through FB's help, but man, it's so confusing!

Also, I hate how I see the posts of my friend's friends. I don't care (or even KNOW) who my little nephew's friend Jeremy is, and what he thinks about this or that. Is there a way to disable that stuff? I'm so tired of weeding through tons of posts because of it. It's like every time I get on FB there are all these new posts from people I've never even heard of. I get email notifications about it too. I am so confused about how FB works. I mean, WHAT is a POKE anyhow? Am I the only one who can't figure it out?

A few days ago, FB sent out a message saying stuff had changed yet again, and we had to make selections to our account preferences. I don't know what my DH has done to our settings, LOL. I'm so confused. Any help?

THANK YOU!!

Change your password! Give him his own account to play with but then he can post anything on his account. Scarey thought.

Just click on the "Settings" link on the upper right. There are several categories, and what you're looking for is probably in privacy. But it doesn't sound like you know what your settings are and it's a good idea to know about each of them and what they're set to.

If you go on the top of your profile, there is a button that says "Settings". Under that, there is "application settings". Click that and you can remove the app from your profile.

Under "settings" again, click on "my account". Then click on "notifications". You can check off what you want there, as far as getting emails and such.

On the main page (where all posts are from everyone), put your pointer on their post. Click "hide" and you can hide all post from them, or you can just delete that person. The only person who should be able to post on your wall are your friends. If not, then you need to make your facebook private.

HTHs!

Thanks for all the help you guys! I'm still having some trouble though. I have checked my settings so it says friends ONLY and so I have got all of the privacy settings like I want them. But this Photo of the Day is appearing over and over. I just asked my DH about it, because we were trying to look at a picture his brother posted; when we click on the picture, that photo of the day appears, and there is no "X" in the top right corner to get rid of it. We keep choosing to not accept it, but because ot it, for some reason, we can't see the picture his brother posted. It's like you HAVE to accept the photo of the day FB chose for you, in order to view the photo the brothe posted. Does this make sense?

Okay, HOW is FB pulling these pics from my hd and suggesting them for the photo of the day? Is it looking on my hd for .jpegs, or is it looking in a certain folder, like the "pictures" folder that comes with windows? If I just moved the photos into another folder I create, will this keep FB from finding the photos? Even now it is starting to aggravate my husband. We keep going to setting and applications and removing the photo of the day, but like I said, in order to view other people's pictures, you HAVE to accept the photo of the day, or you can't view anything. Man, this FB is so aggravating and confusing!

Did you go into the application settings and take off "photo of the day"? The only pictures that facebook should be pulling is what pictures you downloaded to facebook. They can't pull from your hd.
