My boy is home...

My DS went in the AF in May and we haven't seen him since. He flew in yesterday!! It was so amazing to see him. People actually applauded as he came off the plane. He wasn't sure what to do with that..but he was gracious. (he was in uniform) He looks so much more manly....I'm so proud of him.

So, he's home hangin' out and we were actually chatting with each other on FB...lol. too funny.

Just thought I'd share....:0)

I am glad you got to see him in under a year. The deployments and assignments can be extensive and wearing on our service people and their families.

Enjoy him all that you can and I am glad the folks in your area are patriotic, respectable, and proud !

So happy he's home! My son just got home from college for Christmas break and I hadn't seen him since August 16th. He had to spend the night in the Denver airport since his connecting flight got cancelled though! lol

My son left for basic in August and they closed the base down over Christmas, it was so good to see him. The minute he got off the plane he wanted to go eat at a buffet and take his time eating. A lady came up and told him thank you for serving out country, then her little girl, about 4 or 5 said the same thing. Boy talk about a tear jerker for me! So yes enjoy your time with him and thank him very much.
How long is he home for?

Thank you for your wonderful messages. It has been terrific. He leaves the 2nd. That's gonna be hard, but he's all grown up...they can't live at home forever and if he did there would be something wrong!!

If he lived at home forever he might be Italian lol some of our men live at home until they're married and some bring their wives there too.

Thanks you guys bring tears to my eyes! I think it is knowing that he is off to places he should not be. The majority do just fine, but I don't wish anyone the crap that some of the service guys have to do and see. It is sad to hhear about this when they do come back and yes he volunteered for this and I respect him for that decision.
It seems that the second has come way to quickly hasn't it?

Glad you enjoyed your time with your son-he is giving our country an awesome gift! I got to enjoy my son for a few days home from college-it just went so quick! It's ok, I am slowly learning that he would rather be on campus than be at home....
