Fave email client? Need help

I have been using Outlook Express forever. I just got a new PC and Windows 7 comes with windows live for email and outlook express isn't supported or available for download anymore I made a windows live account and I don't like it. I have used the full version of outlook before but it's $100 +. I have 4 email accounts I need to monitor. What do you suggest? The site I went to suggested Mozilla Thunderbird. I l use firefox as my browser so I figure I would probably like Thunderbird but wanted to check around to see what everyone else is using

We just went through this, too. My daughter got a laptop for Christmas and Mozilla Thunderbird was what was suggested for us as well. She's got it all downloaded and working and seems to like it.

I downloaded Thunderbird because I couldn't stand the ads on yahoo. I pay so much $ a month to have my sbc account I really think I shouldn't have to put up with ads too.
So far I like Thunderbird. No problems with it at all.

I used Thunderbird for a long time and loved it.

Now I use gmail and never download my email. I just keep it online so I can access any email from any of our computers. I'm pretty much nuts about my gmail account. Nuts, I say!

I, too , have used outlook express for about 8 years. I have 5 comcast mail accounts that I check on it. If I get a new computer with windows 7, and download thunderbird, will I still be able to open all my comcast accounts using that just like I do with outlook express? all in one? with gmail, I have to log into each account to check. (am I making sense?) I like outlook because it delivers all the mail from our 5 comcast accounts at once.

thanks all. I have decided to just bite the bullet and buy the office standard with outlook. I found it at buy.com for $174 (it was over $300 at Best Buy). I have commercial email accounts I want to access. I have gmail but don't love it. I don't like having all my eggs in the google basket and I use a lot of other google things.
