Unemployment Appeal ???

has anyone ever dealt w/ this before? I live in FL..I was fired over a month ago due to missing so many days..about 10 in a year, due to 3 kids sick w/ flu & other misc illnesses. Unemploymemnt denied me, I am appealing & my telephone hearing is in a week. I have no clue what to expect or what I need to do to plead. If anyone has ever gone through this, could you offer any advice or suggestions.....

Yes I have filed and won several unemployment appeals. I have discovered, after doing some research, that at least in OR, most appeals are won by the claimant.
Make sure to have all your evidence ahead of time. You'll need your company's policies, the evidence of why you missed so much work. You'll also need to be able to tell them what actions led up to your firing. Were you warned? Were you given instructions as to what you had to do to keep your job? You'll need dates, time of day, names of people you spoke with at work, and if there is any other employee who was in the same circumstance as you who was treated differently.
I hope this helps if you need more specific info I'll do my best to help you.

It's the same in every state you may get benefits if you can show that you were fired for an unjust reason or through no fault of your own. You don't just automatically get benefits if you're fired. For example someone could be fired for stealing from the company or for harassing a fellow employee or because they simply did not work. In those cases most people would not receive benefits.
