How Do You Say 2010?

Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

DH just sent me this link...What do you think? DH says "two thousand ten"...His sister says "two thousand AND ten"...I say "twenty ten"...I was just thinking about this the other night...You know how we could say I was born in the sixties, grew up in the seventies, went to college in the eighties, had kids in the nineties...What will one say now? ~Lisa

I say two thousand ten. My guess is that the media will dictate what most people use... meaning that after you hear something over and over, it seems "right" or at least more natural. I'm hearing the media use twenty-ten for the most part.

Gosh, I never thought about it. I have not had to say it yet. Hmmmmm. I liked the way things were when we could say..."back in 73" It sounds funny saying "back in 01" lol. I guess twenty ten.....I dunno

This decade would be the teens, I'd think, just like decades in previous centuries.

I'll probably end up saying twenty-ten, but my DH keeps saying oh-ten. I find that one a little strange, but hey - whatever floats his boat.
