New Year's Resolutions?

Have any?

Mine are:
- Exercise more
- Spend less time on the internet!
- Learn something new
- Go someplace I haven't been before (I'm hoping Rome this year)

How about you?

I always say I'm going to be the best me I can be and every year I get a little better!

To be more specific I vow to do my exercise daily, to take more walks and once I start my new job to involve myself in more activities in town.

Every year I also do a big "spring cleaning" and organizing of my home at the beginning of the year so that's on the list also.

So you resolved not to make resolutions and have stuck to it for 10 years!

No resolutions, but I started working out this past Tuesday and have kept to it! Even with the trainer working me for an hour and doing hundreds of lunges. WOW I still feel it today. For a few days I have been hurting to go down the stairs!

I have also been donating a lot to the thrift store. I need to get rid of my extras!!

I hope that everyone (or those guilty posters) would make the resolution to be kind to each other on this site for 2010!!

MY PERSONAL ONES:
exercise
get back in shape
be kinder speaking to my family
try to work harder keeping the house neater
spend less time on the computer

My only resolution was to not buy anything I don't truly need. Since I broke it three days into the new year, I abandoned that stupid resolution and now I have no resolution.

I stopped making them many years ago. However, I'm starting 2010 on the right track tho, I have not smoked since Oct 26.

Well I don't make resolutions but this year, I'd like to eat more fresh fruit/veggies (instead of canned), save enough money to take a big vacation instead of a small one, start keeping in touch more often and better with old friends, have more patience with my son and family, start cooking more homemade meals, instead of quick stuff.

Go back to school.

There's a ton of things health wise I should focus on like quitting smoking.....again. I probably will try to tackle that too, but going to school is my main goal.

That is wonderful!! Did you just quit one day? My mom wants to try the chantix, but I am worried about her taking it.

I quit for a year on Chantix (longest I've ever quit). I started up again this summer. It was a really stressful couple of months (crappy excuse, I know) I went to a 4th of July party and was drinking, next thing I knew I had a cigarette in my hand. I should have just stopped the next day.

Anyway Chantix worked great and that's how I plan to quit again. I didn't have any real side-effects, but I know some people have. Anyone taking it should be closely monitored by a dr. (and family members or those around her)

I know, off topic, but one of the other managers at work quit smoking 6 months ago using Chantix and he is doing well with it. I wasn't sure how he would do because he was a pretty dedicated smoker. Other than eating everything in sight he seems happy with his decision.

No really a New Years resolution because I had already started TRYING before Christmas, but trying to do more cooking and less fast food and junk. It's not that I can't cook, I just don't like to cook, and that makes it even harder.
