I am FREEZING!!

We have an outdoor woodstove with a boiler system. Typically, I love the heat. But, we were gone for the weekend and my Dad kept the stove going, but we had turned down the heat so it took less wood. Now I'm home, with the heat turned up to 75 and it's still only 61 in here!! It is SO cold outside, it won't warm up in here...

Sorry, just had to whine.

dang I am so sorry I know it is miserable being cold in your home. I bought a couple little floor heaters and they really do the trick. This way we are only warming the air directly near you and not the whole house. They work so well and makes it easier getting out of bed on those chilly mornings. One of the 2 has a heat setting so when it is too cold or too hot it will turn on or off!

Yep it's really cold. The low tonight is supposed to be between 15 and 20 BELOW zero with a high of zero for Sunday. I hope you warm up. We have our gas fireplace on and the furnace of course. It's still kind of cold but I'll still take this over the summer heat and humidity. You just have to layer to keep warm. I have my hat on too!

I'm not quite what to do about Bella going potty. I took her out earlier for about 30 seconds and she immediately started limping....poor baby.

I have some "potty" pads, but she doesn't seem to know what to do with it....She has to go, but I can't take her out again....

guess I'll take my chances......after all it's only a little tiny bit of pee....LOL good grief.

I do have a space heater on in my bedroom, it's helping.

I had an email from my cousin who is up near Alpena and she said it was reading -0 with a -14 wind chill.

What the heck is -0???

I hope it warms up for both your and Bella's sake.

Sending warm thoughts.

Our furnace broke awhile back and we had to deal with space heaters for 3 weeks. Some days we couldn't get it above 60...miserable!

Poor Chubs hates going out in the cold. I've taught him to do his business on demand. Every time while he's going potty I say "get busy" after awhile it became his cue, comes in real handy on cold or rainy days. Some days though he won't cooperate and just keeps pulling toward the door.

I don't know how big your dog is but maybe you could put some of those stretch gloves on it's feet. I don't have a pet so that might be a lame idea but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I'm sitting here drinking hot chocolate trying to warm up. It was -25 last night with a windchill of -40. Now I think it is -5 and the wind is blowing so I know it is probably -25 with the wind chil. Only 3 more months or so of this!

Okay, now I feel bad. It was 22 here last night (sounds like a heat wave compared to some of you guys!), but I couldn't stop whining. We're not used to those kinds of temperatures here. I'm so cold my bones are aching. And now I have to get on the ferry to go to work, and it's still only 24. Once I get over to the island where I'm working, I know the wind will be howling and the only transportation is via golf cart, so I'm definiately not looking forward to it. Global Warming my butt (kidding!).

The low here last night was 32. Sounds down right toasty by comparison but this is Florida. I had to cover lots of my plants last night to keep them from freezing.

Tonight is suppose to be even colder.

Right now here in WV it is 10' with a wind chill of -3'. I took peepers out but he started limping and we came back inside. He is snuggled under a warm blanket!

I hope it warms up in there for you. When it got down to eight degrees here a few weeks ago I was wearing long johns under my clothes and mittens on in the house. I just could not get warm. I had to put toe warmers in my muckalucks and hand warmers in my mittens.
There is nothing worse to me than freezing cold. At least if it's sweltering you can go the lake or sit in the bathtub. But when it's cold there is not to much you can do but pile up a bunch of blankets and stay under them.

We had very cold weather a few days ago...wind chills well below zero! Right now we are just heading to the end of a three days snowstorm. Not sure of the exact total of snow, but I do know they were predicting 18-26 inches (the snow is up to the door handle on my car). Hubby is going to go dig us out in a little while! We got together with the inlaws last night and played games while the blizzard roared outside. They live next door and road the snowmobiles over! Needless to say...the pellet stove was roaring all night long. I am thinking a nice warm beach sounds wonderful right now!

We had a low of 47 and predicted high of 77 today. Don't want to rub it in. But I really wish I was in your shoes. Especially the snow part. I wouldn't mind at all.

Weather could always be worse. If I could figure out how to send some of you guys snow, I would. We got 19 inches over Christmas and a few more since then. It was actually right about zero today and no wind. Comments were it was "balmy" today and so of course since it was so much warmer today, some were noted to be wearing sweat shirts only. Geez.......

Ugg. Last night's low was 28. I hope I did a good job covering up my plants (haven't looked yet) or they are going to be hurting.

I saw a computer model for later this week and there's a possibility of freezing rain just to our north. This is central Florida for crying out loud!!!

Do you guys have heaters in your house and car?
A friend of mine said when her daughter lived in southern Texas, no one has those, Just curious.
Hope it warms up for you.
TIA
