Coffee Makers?

Need a new one. Had an undercounter Black & Decker from the 80's that lasted till a few years ago, the 4th coffee maker in less than 2 years is on it's way to the recycling pile now.
One of the 4 replacements was a B&D undercounter model, but it wasn't as good as the original one. Have had 2 cheap Mr. Coffee machines, a Sunbeam, and a B&D.
We have a large family and often have large groups of folks here, so am actually considering a commercial grade Bunn or something similiar.
Anyone gone this route?
I want something where you only load water once into one container (like the current B&D undercounter model at Target). I wish I could find a one-cup-at-a-time dispensing coffee maker with a water tank that gets directly filled, but so far no luck. ( hate how all the carafes for home models drip a bit when they are poured).
Any suggestions will be welcomed. Love tea, but really miss my coffee and dh is getting cranky drinking instant ;-)
TIA,
MZ

A friend of mine has a nice Cuisinart. It grinds the beans and then brews the coffee. I like it when we get together for coffee at her place...it's realllllyyyy good.

I subscribe to Shop Smart magazine (published by Consumer Reports) and the latest issue has a small article on coffeemakers. The best "splurge" was Kalorik CM25282 for $80 and the best "save" was Black & Decker DLX10508 for $20. I have not tried either but I thought I would let you know.

Voila..

Keurig sells 2 models of direct-plumbed, single cup dispensing coffee machines. The smaller model sells for around $450

B200

Technically its for office use but some distributers will sell to individuals.

I personally have a Keurig B60 and LOVE it. Its got a nice big water tank and its so easy to refill (pop the lid and pour in). It could churn out coffee all day for a large group as long as you kept a pitcher of water around to refill the tank. I think the tank is about 48oz. It makes 3 sizes of coffee, cocoa, or tea cups - 5.25oz, 7.25 oz and 9.25 oz (best for extra bold kups only).

For more info on the B200, or other single-cup coffee makers including peer reviews etc check out this website - I'm a regular there. Single Serve Coffee - Coffee Pod Reviews, Senseo, Home Cafe, Bunn My Cafe, Keurig, K-Cups, Nespresso, Tassimo, T-Discs - The One Cup Coffee Lovers Weblog

While you figure it out and look for sales, you could try gevalia. They have a deal right now for a coffee maker and 2 packages of coffee for $14.95 shipped. Not a bad deal - just cancel after you receive it if you don't want to monthly shipments of coffee.

I'm lusting after this one that I saw on a commercial, probably doesn't meet all the criteria you are looking for, but man I wish Santa had left this for me

I love my Bunn Thermal. It's pricey but worth it. It brews a pot of coffee in under 2 minutes and I go through a couple pots a day (at least). I had a Cuisinart Grind & Brew and gave it away to my cousin. I didn't like it nearly as much as my Bunn.

I have a Cuisinart Coffee on Demand. I love it. It must heat the water better than other coffeemakers I have had because it makes the best home coffee I have ever had. We also have Keurig for a quick cup and I like it ok but I prefer my Cuisinart. No pot it just dispenses the coffee right into the cup.

I do not drink coffee but I saw one in an ad that you just speak to it and tell it what time to make the coffee and it does it. That sound so neat.

I have become convinced that the flavor of the coffee depends to a great degree on the water. My niece and I have the same coffee maker, use the same coffee. I like it so much better made with my water. I guess it's what you are used to.

I had no idea you could buy a coffee maker you didn't have to fill...good luck in your search. Please save your DH from instant coffee soon!!!!!!

Coffee Maker

My DH and I are heavy coffee drinkers. About 4 pots a day between us. I've owned Bunn Makers since the 90's. Mine usually last 5 years before they start acting up. Target has them also.

Macy's Friday the 8th (10a-1p) and Saturday the 9th (9a-1p) will have a special 40% off coffeemakers and single serve brewers.
It is in the current ad.

That's called my husband. There's only one of him though and he's not for sale.

I have a cheap $11 Mr. Coffee that has been going for about 6 years. Only make one pot a day, once in a blue moon, two. I have been wondering if there are any coffee makers that don't have all those grooves in to clean. I clean it out with vinegar quite often, but in the bottom corners it still gets yucky. I use toothpicks, cotton swabs, etc. to try and get at it, but there must be an easier one to clean. Even where you put the filter in it has lots of grooves. Guess I am getting lazy in my old age-LOL!
