I knew it! I am very comfortable in my high heels.

Study: High heels better than running shoes

Study: High heels better than running shoes - Science Fair - USATODAY.com

As long as I stay away from cheapo ill fitting poorly made high heels and make sure I have a good arch and they fit my foot correctly I am completely comfortable in my heels. For my last job I was doing tons of walking in my high heel boots and shoes. My feet did not hurt and my friends thought I was crazy.
I don't wear flats unless doing my exercise walking or doing some work like painting or something like that. And I have no leg, foot, or knee problems whatsoever.

I wear boots with heels to work sometimes and the PE coach and plant manager always tease me. I tell them I am very comfy in them. I do not find running shoes comfy at all, but in the Summer, all I wear pretty much are flip flops.

I wonder if it's not the shoe that is causing the knee and ankle problems, but the running itself? Hardly anyone, apart from women in movies run in high heels. I think running is very strenuous on the body and should only happen in case of emergency, like a killer chasing you.

I have 2 pairs of heels that are much more comfortable than my sneakers or any flats that I have. I have one pair that really kill my feet though.

When I was younger I worked in heels, and as you said as long as it was a well made shoe I had no problem - except for occasionally falling off them. After I quit work and have worn nothing but running shoes, and yeah my rule is now I will only fun if my butt is on fire, I don't know if I could wear heels anymore, and really don't wanna have to find out. I am 5' 7" and LOVED wearing heels to make me even taller, I guess that was an ego trip, but I felt good in heels.

Omg Anna wish I could but my feet hurt sooo much in heels . When I think back to the day when I could wear those heels. I am telling you my daughter Caitlin got a pair of 4 inch blue shoes from Steve Madden me and my dh really did not want to purchase them as she is so tiny and while it makes her taller we fear she will brake a ankle . But at 17 almost 18 she can wear them and they do not bother her. I will stick to my uggs and be comfortable lol... Peace. Catherine

My daughter has a morkie that loves his shoes, too. When she lived here, that dog ate a pair of mine and has eaten MANY pairs of my daughters! One pair she had only worn once.....$150 gone!!!

I think you are on to something. I only run when I am out of ammo.

Steve Madden shoes and bags at TJMaxx/Marshall's for a fraction of the price of Macy's.
