Do you have Tivo or a DVR?

We are switching satellite providers and DH is wondering how we can get some of the programs off of the DVR before we have to return it.

SO what suggeestions do you have for me?

Thanks
Josie

I googled it and it looks like you have to hook up your dvr to a dvd recorder, or computer. I found this:

If you wish to remove a program but still want to be able to watch it again, there are options for this as well. Record the programs using a DVD recorder or VCR. Connect video cables from an output of your cable or satellite receiver box to the input of either device, and connect another set from the device's output to an input on the television to monitor the progress. Have a blank DVD or VHS tape ready to go, and press "Record" when you begin playing back the program from the DVR. Press "Stop" when finished, and ensure that the program did record before deleting it from the DVR list.
