Restaurant food (and popular frozen meals) have more calories than advertised

I read this in my local paper this morning and I might be naive but I was shocked. Another good reason to start with raw foods and "process" them yourself.

I think even when they give all the info on the label it can be misleading. I was reading the nutritional values on a can of soup and it said the serving size was one cup, approximately 2 servings per can. The can was 19 ounces. Since when is 19 ounces approx. 2 cups.
Also it seems like the companies feel like if they are caught giving incorrect nutritional info, Oops, sorry! And all is forgiven.
We have been seriously cutting back on processed foods and reading labels on the things we do use.
This article just makes it that much more critical.

Actually, 19 ounces is MORE than 2 cups. A cup is 8 ounces. They are talking about measuring cups, not a soup mug. What I question is, who only eats 1 cup of soup for a meal????
