Knitwit Anyone??

Has anyone tried the Knitwit? It looks so cool in the Martha Stewart magazine and so easy! I have always wanted to learn to knit, but I just don't have the time right now with the two little ones. I thought this might be a fun beginning to just play around with in the evenings. I just wondered if anyone else has used one! They claim:
Create a Knitwit Afghan in 48 Hours!
KnitWit® afghans are made with an ingenious little gadget that lets you pop-off round or square flowers so quickly that you can finish a large afghan in less than 48 hours!
Sounds too good to be true!!

Knitting is not hard to learn to do. neither is crocheting. I received one of these as a gift and its not as easy as it looks.. Its not what I would call hard, but to me, knitting is easier.

I think knitting and crocheting are becoming lost arts. My mom, just tonight, told me my niece wants her to crochet her an afghan "just like daddy's" which she did when he was in college, only with different colors. She will be 12 next month.

Tatting is pretty much a lost art also. I admire anyone who has the skill to do these things. I've watched my mom and it doesn't take all that long. I laugh at anyone who says they don't have time for couponing, crocheting, volunteering, etc because people have time for what they want to have time for.

You are right about that. My mom has said the same thing. Stop watching television or playing on the computer and you will have time for what you want. I guess it is all in where you put your priorities. I guess I should not have said I don't have time for it... I don't make the time for it right now!.

So true, I always say give it to a busy person and they will get it done.
