I lost a soldier deployed to Afghanistan this week. I was just a casual e-mail acquaintance of his since May so I didn't really lose anything, for sure, compared to the family that did lose a son, a father, a husband, a brother and this country lost a great man and a fine citizen. This man was the father of three boys - all under the age of 6. It breaks my heart.

Please keep our troops in your thoughts and prayers every day. Afghanistan is incredibly volatile and puts our men and women at risk every day. (This is not a political post - please don't make it that).

I hear these stories everyday, and it breaks my heart. I see so many people that seem to have "forgotten" our soldiers. Thank You for all you do to support them, it is truly terrific! I will say a special prayer for this soldiers family. We have lost a lot of friends between Iraq, Afghanistan and Ft. Hood. I hope everyone can remember all those who serve, home and abroad.

Thanks for the reminder. We just had a young man who died come back home for his services. It always makes me so sad to see the family crying in the newspaper.

The political system is broke and it's a joke.

The troops our men and women who are serving our country will always always be remembered each and everyday until all return home safely. May god bless them all and their families for the sacifices that could never ever ever be repayed or forget. May God continue to keep them safe. Peace. Catherine
